Little treasure - Edit
Small shop but didn't disappoint. On the contrary! There are so many vegan "to go" options that I had a hard time picking just one so I got them all, ehehe.... great variety of sanduiches with tofu, grilled, vegetables, sweet potatoes, seitan... the lady who works there proudly told me they were all vegan, organic, made locally and delicious. Everything was super delicious indeed!

Nice to find vegan grocery items - Edit
We have not found grocery stores to be super vegan friendly in southern Croatia so we were happy to check out Bio &Bio. Located on the main road between old town and the cruise ship port. It’s a small store with some Fresh organic fruits and veggies, vegan cheese slices, faux meats and yogurts, drinks, chocolate bars, staples like pasta, and a fridge of pre-made items like desserts and sandwiches. We were in a B&B so had to limit ourselves to drinks etc but the store would be a nice resource for someone with access to kitchen facilities.

Great selection, at a cost! - Edit
Decent selection of vegan foods, including seitan, tofu etc but I would consider those prices expensive in London! Around here, beggars can’t be choosers.

Bio & Bio - Edit
Excellent little bio store offering several vegan products and prepackaged food. I bought some Oatly and some packaged tofu/seitan here but the winner was really the prepackaged seitan wrap I purchased (which I will post a photo of).

Small - Edit
Small shop, and as already described: Very busy staff.
Read moreBut the shop has a lot of vegan options, and the vegan sandwiches are very tasty (be careful: 200g for a sandwich is a lot, and take the one with grilled paprika).
A little bit outside the city center, located in a small shopping center. Parking close by (charged).
Pros: A lot of vegan options
Cons: Very small

Okay - Edit
On a scale of Zagreb (limited) and Split (amazing), this one is somewhere in the middle. A small fridge of to go food like a sandwich and cakes and drinks. One stall of chocolates, one stand of crisps etc. Staff were very busy packing while I was there and basically had to squeeze around them.

Small shop with good vegan options - Edit
Unfortunately there a not so many soy products in the normal supermarket in Croatia, but here you get a good selection of soy products, vegan cheese, vegan milk,... We tried the vegan strudel (2 different are available in the fridge) and a cookie - and we can highly recommend to buy the vegan strudel there. Furthermore there are soy products produced in Croatia.

So much better than I expected! - Edit
This place had SO much tofu and seitan, vegan sausages, pasta, bread, soups, sauce mixes, chocolate, crisps, crackers, pastries, brownies, cookies, sandwiches, juice, vitamins, beauty items...it was so much better than I expected! I just hoped for a few vegan bits and bobs but it was great. We ate in our Airbnb a lot as Dubrovnik is expensive to eat out, and we made an amazing tomato sausage pasta with the stuff from bio&bio! We bought loads of tofu and seitan chilled pastries to have as snacks on day trips and they did the trick perfectly. Was definitely glad to have it there as other shops sorely lacked vegan items.

Small shop but has vegan options - Edit
To save some money, I bought some pasta and sauce from here to cook at my airbnb and some toast and chocolate spread for breakfast. Good for getting some supplies for meals or a few snacks, but expected it to be a bigger shop.

Good Sandwiches for Pricey Dubrovnik - Edit
Because Dubrovnik is SO expensive, I basically only ate the premade seitan/tofu sandwiches here. A 15-20 minute walk from the center, although fortunately closer to my hostel. Good healthy options. Bio&Bio was a lifesaver in Croatia generally for my vegan needs. Thanks!!

Small but well worth the stop on our way into old town. We stocked up on breakfast and lunch stuff to last a couple days to avoid the crowds, high prices, and limited vegan options inside the city walls.

Worth the walk! - Edit
Loads of vegan goodies that we had never seen/tried before. Really useful as we were self-catering and the regular supermarkets weren’t so great for vegan products. Definitely worth the walk 💚

Cute, small shop with a lot of vegan products. I am not sure about prices because I was interested in ice cream only. It was worth an effort! You can find two fridges full of vegan ice cream. Fenomenal.. Delicious😋😄

cute store - Edit
I visited this store recently after basically living at Bio & Bio across Croatia. I'm super grateful there's one in Dubrovnik but we were staying in the old town and it seemed a bit far to just pop in and grab some groceries so I didn't go until our last day just because that's the only day I had spare time. The bus from Plier took maybe 10 minutes or less. As recommended, I took bus 6 for a total of 4 kunar, return and got off at stop 3. I originally thought it was stop 4 but o could see the signage on the street, right next to the stop saying Tommy and Bio &a Bio. Once you're off the bus, follow the sign, go up the escalator and you'll see it on your left. There was almost no produce the day I went, maybe 2 onions and a few potatoes. No sandwiches and a couple of cakes. The shelves however were stocked well so I had plenty to choose from. When I finished, I went back down the escalator and a number 6 bus was waiting outside so no wait time. It took about half an hour to get back to Plier but well worth it considering all the food I bought my bus tickets was less than I would have spent eating out. Would recommend making the trip, even if only to save some pennies on food while travelling.

Cons: lack of produce, location not in old town
