Okay food, interesting concept - Edit
Käsespätzle were very cheesy, almost a big lump of (vegan) cheese topped with very good fried onions. Could have used a bit more overall taste, like some salt and pepper for a start. The side salad had too little dressing and the leaves weren't properly washed, so they tasted "sandy", not exactly my favorite way.
Read moreRouladen were pretty good, so were the Knödel. Rotkohl was home made, that's good. But maybe next time you could take out the bay leaves, juniper berries and cloves.
Staff is very friendly and the place is interesting, so I would recommend a visit.

Nice concept, mediocre execution! - Edit
The concept is really great: german and western euopean classics like Rouladen, Schnitzel with potato salad, Käsespätzle and stuff in vegan or at least veganisable, which you rarely find out of Berlin or south-western Germany - you either have lifestyle-places following food trends or international cuisine (which is not bad but sometimes you miss hearty, savoury stuff with brown gravy in the vegan world). The atmosphere is rustic but cozy, quite charming. Service is nice and quick as well, no complaints. What‘s disappointing - and this is why I don‘t get the great rating - is the food and it‘s price. It‘s not bland but not finely seasoned either - just underwhelming. Considering this and the portion sizes which are not that big I really don‘t get the hype. I‘d have loved it for the concept and the place but it‘s just not cooked with the heart that I expect from my associations with the term „hearty“. The dessert was nice and boozy, though!

Wirtshaus mit deutscher Hausmannskost und interessanter Location in einer ehemaligen Fleischerei. Wir waren innerhalb der Woche dort essen und es war gut besucht, eine Reservierung (nur per E-Mail möglich) ist definitiv von Vorteil und am Wochenende sicherlich auch notwendig.
Read moreWir hatten das goldgelb gebratene Sojaschnitzel und die vegetarischen Käsespätzle. Beides sehr lecker, die Käsespätzle waren an einigen Stellen allerdings sehr salzig. Die vegane (recht kleine) Herrencreme hatte für meinen Geschmack zu wenig Schokolade und schmeckte etwas fad, nicht unbedingt schlecht aber verbesserungswürdig. Der Preis für unsere großen Saftschorlen war fair.
Die recht kleine Karte wurde um weitere Hauptspeisen und auch um eine Dessertalternative erweitert - mega! Der Service war super und sehr freundlich, wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

I think this place is a very cool place. They have vegan Käsespätzle which is very nice. The portion size is very big (although I think only the Käsespätzle is a lot. My friend had a different dish, and hers was a lot less food). I could only eat half of it because it's a lot of vegan cheese and spätzle and only a small side salad.

i always used to love käse spätzle and could never find them as a vegan option, but this restaurant finally fulfilled my dreams. the käse spätzle were extremely good, as well as the salad 😍. the only thing i didn’t quite enjoy was the vegan herrencrème, but other than that everything was amazing - will definitely come again 🌱

Traditionelle deutsche Gerichte veganisiert - Edit
Eine zwar übersichtliche aber dennoch facettenreichen Auswahl an veganen (und wenigen vegetarischen) Gerichten bietet für alle Geschmäcker etwas. Das Essen ist auf jeden Fall sehr lecker und weckt Erinnerungen an gute Hausmannskost/die nicht-veganen-Pendants. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam und die Atmosphäre in dem Restaurant ist durch die Location (ehemalige Fleischerei - der Name ist Programm) zwar speziell, aber insgesamt gemütlich. Eine große Empfehlung für Fans der traditionellen deutschen Küche.

Very good vegan food. Basically everything on the menu is vegan except for the vegetarian version of "Käsespätzle". But there is also a vegan version. I never really understood why the vegetarian version is necessary. As soon as they get rid of it, I'll upgrade to five stars.

Read moreLeider mussten ein paar Gäste weggeschickt werden, weil kein Platz mehr frei war. Lichttechnisch hätte auch eine Party stattfinden können und es war ziemlich laut. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und das Essen war super lecker.
Einen Stern Abzug, da nicht rein vegan.
Pros: Super leckere vegane Spätzle, Unisex-Toiletten , Viele kleine, verschachtelte Räume

Dennoch war die Bedienung gut gelaunt und sehr freundlich. Es gibt eine kleine Auswahl zünftig deftiger veganer Speisen, angelehnt an bayrische Wirtshäuser. Wir haben zu fünft vier der veganen Gerichte probiert und fanden alle sehr lecker.
Egal ob Spätzle Stroganow, Käsespätzle, Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat oder Gulasch mit Rotkohl und Knödeln, es war authentisch und vegan. Ein Besuch lohnt sich, eine Reservierung empfiehlt sich.

During our trip to Münster we made a reservation here. Due to Saturday evening it was quite crowded, so we were happy to get our table. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. You choose from a small selection of solid and hearty vegan dishes. They are similar to dishes from Bavarian pubs or restaurants. We were five and tried four different dishes. Each one was yummy.
Whether Spätzle Stroganow, Spätzle with cheese, Schnitzel with potato-salad or the gulasch with lumps and red cabbage all dishes were authentic but vegan. Go for a visit but make a reservation.
Pros: friendly staff, exactly as we thought it would be, awesome and tasty food
Cons: not fully vegan, have to make a reservation, no salad as side-dish

I went here because it was recommended by a friend and wasn't disappointed. They offer traditional German / Bavarian cuisine, 75% of which is vegan, the rest vegetarian. The menu is not very large but includes some gems like the Leberkäs-Semmel and Herrencreme which I both found outstanding. Other dishes like potato salad and goulash were still pretty good. Staff was friendly (sadly forgot about my main dish), prices are okay.

We had three different meals. I had the vegan goulash with bell pepper and red cabbage German style. Unbelievable texture of the „meat“ and really delicious if you like to eat something from your childhood.

Came a second time. The staff is so friendly and the place so nice. We had a typical German stew ( Geschnetzeltes) with special German noodles ( Spätzle). Vegan and really good!
