Vegan - Edit
I don't like the vibe fully and I think the cupcakes are a little too grainy on the icing I think they need to be more smooth and not feeling so oily in texture feels very like you're eating margarine

Best vegan bakery in Austin! - Edit
I met the owner of ZKill back in August 2016 after I’d gone vegan. Just fell in love with her baking - and her as an awesome human being. We make the drive down to get her baked goodies a few times a year. Everything is delicious. We have tried it all and have never been disappointed.
Read moreMy favorites are her coffins. Her take on a hostess product that is so much better! All her items are vegan, gluten free and soy free. If you’ve never had a rosemary chocolate chip cookie, be sure to try those too. The rebel swirls are so good.
You can also custom order cakes for special occasions!
Pros: All vegan , All gluten free , All soy free
Cons: Parking can be a challenge

All baked goods are vegan and gluten-free. Most of them are soy-free too! I have been coming here for years and enjoy all their treats. The best by far is the oatmeal cream pies. Currently, in 'Rona times, they offer curbside pick.

Great dessert - Edit
I'm not usually one for sweets, but this place had the best! Nothing there is overly sugary. They also have a ton of options free of most allergens. They are a great business to support, and if you want something savory to go with your sweets it is in an area right by other vegan eats.

Mystery bag magic - Edit
Grabbed a mystery bag and got a key lime cupcake, brownie, and house made vegan Twinkie. I dreaded that the Twinkie was included and was very surprised at how much I like it. Same with my wife. The brownie was fine - nothing extraordinary. The cupcake was great as well. The store included cool stuff like vegan T-shirt’s, books, and other cool vegan items. Loved the names of all of the items as well as the location, being part of the Hyde park vegan food truck scene. Will go back and would recommend.

So much plastic/waste - Edit
We went to this place but did not order something. Every muffin was in a big plastic box. They told us it's eco plastic but I don't understand it anyway. Many people want to eat the muffin when they are there so it's a lot of waste. Would be better to sell then without and when someone wants a package you can offer them. Because of the plastic it also looks really cheap so I don't get the point from selling it in a plastic box.

Cons: Plastic and so much waste
ZucchiniKill
Hi! We actually don’t use any plastic! It’s all plant-based compostable packaging. We hate plastic! That’s why we also sell stainless steel straws and bamboo tooth brushes, etc. Also because we are a retail shop (our kitchen is elsewhere) we legally must package all of our products. Thanks for coming by! XOXO

Killed it! - Edit
I suck at baking. Zucchini Kill came to the rescue after I ruined my 4-year-old's vegan bday cake. Ran there and bought 12 cupcakes in a variety of flavors, and they were all a hit! Best flavors were Golden Mylk, Pink Coconut, and the lavender one.

Delicious and great location - Edit
Zucchini Kill is located right next to Bistro Vonish and in a little garden/patio with a few other vegan food trucks as well. It is attached to an apothecary, so if you're confused and can't find it from the road, that's where it is.
Read moreWe got the lemon and berry cupcake, which was delicious, moist and just the right amount of sweet. I also picked up the 'leftover sheet cake' for a birthday the next day, which was good, but ended up being dry. The frosting was really good on it though, and I wasn't upset about that because it was advertised as 'leftover' and was inexpensive for the amount I got.
The person there was also really nice, friendly, and welcoming!
Pros: Delicious cupcake
Cons: Leftover sheet cake is stale

The best gluten free vegan treats on the planet! - Edit
Zucchini Kill is literally the best place to go for amazingly delicious vegan baked goods. But what makes it extra awesome is everything is gluten free. The cool chicks that run this place really believe in their products and make us feel great every time we visit. My wife and I try to support them as much as our bank account allows, and I hope other people choose to do the same! Seriously, go try their food ASAP.
