The best GF vegan breakfast - Edit
Been coming for a few years now on vacation. Porridge and baked goods are my favorites but so many options, nearly all vegan or can be made that way. Worth the long lines, and they move pretty quickly.

Mostly vegan - Edit
The food is all vegetarian and mostly vegan (almost everything but the quiche), and it’s clearly labeled: Toasts, soup, pie, muffin, grilled cheeses. Popular place the line can get long but everything is good in a cute atmosphere

Very tasty - Edit
Loved the options! The tomato soup was pretty good, and the tofu scramble was very good. Their baked goods looked good as well. All vegetarian, and very often their options are vegan too.

Vegan breakfast - Edit
This place can get a long line, but I appreciate the vegan breakfast options although the toppings are a bit sparse for the thick bread. It was odd to offer an option of half of that small amount of tofu scramble split between two pieces of bread. It was already too little with just one. But regardless, thankful for the only place in town offering affordable vegan breakfast options, including avocado toast, nut butter and banana toast, porridge, beans on toast, grilled cheese, and “zoup.” Plus the place is nice inside and a dairy-free London fog was a treat on a cold rainy autumn day. Didn’t try the vegan desserts because scones and muffins aren’t my thing, but it was nice they had those, too.

Yum - Edit
My husband got a Chai with oat milk which he said was good. We also got an assortment of baked goods including a savoury scone, Scottish oat bar & cranberry cake. All were good. There were several other vegan baked good options too. Seemed pretty reasonably priced

Vegan muffins - Edit
This is a cute shop with well labeled pastries and coffee. There were a couple labeled vegan pastries- I got the lemon walnut muffin and it was pretty good! I would recommend for a morning pick me up.

Delicious - Edit
I ordered a Iced london fog and a cinnamon snail shell and my boyfriend got avocado toast with an iced coffee. My london fog was awesome, however for iced coffee they only do iced americanos which we thought was a little weird. But overall great!

Meh - Edit
No vegan blueberry muffins. Just a gf muffin and a strange chocolate chip cookie. "Usually vegan" is very weird for a menu designation and seemed to overlap with the vegetarian options.

Lovely pick-me-up spot - Edit
I love Zoot! This location does get very busy in the summer months (as does all of Camden), but during the off-season it's one of my favorite places. They offer organic soy milk, as well as almond and oat milk. They also offer a rotating selection of vegan muffins and cookies along with non-vegan options in addition to their coffee and tea offerings. Once they sell out of baked goods however, that is it for the day, so get there early! In the summer months they also offer smoothies, which are always refreshing.
Read moreThe cafe also showcases local artists, and has a cozy vibe. Amazing spot for foggy, drizzly midcoast mornings. Plus, if you are a local, you can bring a bucket for coffee grounds for use in your garden - or I guess whatever else you would want used coffee grounds for!
I will say that the owner does have a no cellphone policy (it is posted inside), and very much prefers that you are not on your phone when ordering drinks/etc.
Pros: Features local artists, Clearly labeled vegan options
Cons: Pricey , Crowded in peak season

Terrible Coffee - Edit
The worst latte I have ever had. Very very bitter with no taste of sweetener or milk. Also workers rotate from making smoothies to checking out and do not wash hands in between, handling money then fruit. Also no food options that were listed from previous reviews. Only had one muffin option. Save the trip and money.

Awesome little coffee and bakery - Edit
Awesome little coffee and bakery with choice of almond, soy and oat milk options! They also had several vegan baked treats the day we visited. We had the soy cappuccino with soy along with a blueberry muffin. Both were amazing! The blueberry muffin was moist, not too sweet and full of blueberries! Highly recommended for a quick bite for breakfast and coffee or tea

Great vegan muffins and coffee - Edit
Zoot is a charming coffee shop in downtown Camden that serves vegan espresso-based drinks. They also have a variety of vegan baked goods. The day I visited, they had cookies, blueberry-cherry muffins, and raspberry muffins. I loved my vegan blueberry muffin, and the soy-cappuccino I got was one of the best I've had in Downeast Maine. Overall, it was a pleasing experience.
