Tasty Italian food - Edit
Zizzi is one of the standard vegan options in the UK and we liked our visit at this one very much. The staff were welcoming and helpful and there were many vegan choices. These are marked on the general menu, or you can use a QR code to view a vegan-only menu on your phone.
Read moreMy husband had the rainbow lasagna which was absolutely delicious. I had the lentil ragu with chickpeas and spinach and it was also very good. As we were very hungry, we also shared the green beans and the Tuscan-style potatoes and these were very nice as well.
Sadly we did not have any room for desserts but they have some lovely-looking options for that, too!

The staff is friendly and attentive. Nice Location! (Bus Stop is right in front of the Restaurant) Separate menu for vegans and Allergy sufferers.
Just sad we‘ve been so full that we could not try the Dessert 😅

The pizza is amazing - still!!
But the vegan rainbow lasagna is just something else. Please try. Probably the best lasagna I’ve ever had and my own is great so that means something 😂
Oh and the garlic bread! Do yourself a favor and order it right now.
Would always come back here, because you just know that it’s gonna be good.

When I visited they had none of the vegan menu items available so I was left to customise a tomato pasta to make it vegan. It was bland and watery, not what I went in hoping for.

We went here after just arriving in Edinburgh. Most places we tried needed reservations so it wasn't our first choice but the staff were so sweet and could see we were exhausted so they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I wouldn't say it has the most vegan options but enough to satisfy a hungry group. We even got cheesy garlic bread which I have not had for years! (We asked them to add some vegan cheese to the vegan garlic bread and they were only too happy to oblige)

great vegan menu with a lot choice. i'm addicted the the vegan garlic pizza bread. Love that there is a dessert other than sorbet too! the vegan cheese on the pizzas is also great, as i can be quite picky about that.

Very good vegan pizzas - the zucca is a firm favourite. Pizza Express is catching up to them these days but still a very safe and enjoyable bet for a decent meal in Edinburgh :)

My friend (omnivore) and I (vegan) really enjoyed our pizza’s. The vegan pizza was delicious! And the vegan sticky chocolate pudding was absolutely amazing. The staff was really friendly.

I always find Zizzi a good option with friends with varying food needs. They have a separate vegan menu, making things really clear - as well as a gluten free menu and menu outlining all foods suitable for different allergies, making it really easy for all. The food was (as ever) delicious and the service friendly and responsive. I had a create your own rustica pizza, which really helps widen the vegan choice and has won an award. The waitress was teetering on the edge of going vegan so had an interesting conversation too.

They have a whole separate allergy menu, with things broken up into vegan/non-dairy/GF options that they can do. My boyfriend and I got the vegan garlic bread (was really good, especially with some balsamic vinegar drizzled on it!) and I ordered the vegan margherita rustica pizza for dinner, and added caramelizes onions. It was fantastic. They make their own vegan mozzarella and it's good, simple and clean. That pizza even won some PETA food award, for good reason!

me and my husband (vegans) went with my omni brother yesterday evening and it was great as always. they have a separate menu (ask on arrival) with pizza, pasta and salad options. they also have 3 dessert options, gelato, calzone and chocolate torte, all beautiful. all of there wines are vegan also except 2.

I can recommend their vegan pizza. It tastes good! The downer: it was on a "special menu". Which means they don't recognize veganisme or offer it all their other guests. Not cool. It should just be on the menu they give to everyone. To indpire as many people to order vegan.

I wasn't expecting much from this place but very pleasantly surprised. the waitress was very friendly and very helpful. she went an extra mile to double check if the wine is wanted was vegan, very nice pizza with vegan cheese and you choose your own toppings. Nice dessert too, could do with a little bit more dessert options
