Good food and nice ambient

Update: Sadly this place is no longer vegetarian but now serves meat. There still seem to be some vegan options available.

The restaurant has a few tables inside, a nice patio facing Melrose, and a garden in the back with lots of outdoor seating.

Prices are really good considering the location, lots of items on the menu only cost 10-15 dollars, some even less.

They have more vegan options at the marketplace where food is measured by weight - $13/lb. There used to be at least 10 vegan options available (mostly roasted veggies, some pasta, tofu with veggies and salads), they are a bit different every time I visit. I think the marketplace is only available until 3pm. Now that the restaurant serves meat I imagine there are less options though.

My favorite is thing on the menu is the lunch burrito bowl - you have to order it without the cheese and sour cream. It can also be ordered as a wrap. It's always delicious and feels very healthy.

The Grain bowl is also very tasty and vegan.

They have a delicious Black bean chilli which can be made vegan if ordered without sour cream.
Their guacamole is super tasty so I often order the chips and veggies with guacamole and salsa.

Two of their pizzas can be made vegan. Not sure if they still have vegan cheese.

Unfortunately, they don’t have a vegan burger, I think the veggie patty has eggs in it.

They also don’t have any vegan bakery items - none of the muffins or croissants are vegan which is very disappointing.

They have various plant milks (0.75 dollar surcharge) for coffee. Hot drinks are served in mugs, which I love (or you can order it to go).

They have two water stations outside with glasses placed next to them so you can get water yourself.

Everything is always tasty, fresh and portion size is good for all dishes that I have tried.

Most of the staff is very friendly.

Excellent selection

This vegetarian cafe/restaurant is a wonderful break from the abundant unhealthy food options in the city.
They have a large selection of ready made dishes (salads, pastas, veggies, etc) that you can mix & match a plate out of, as big or small as you wish. Additionally they have a full menu, as well as bakery items. Everything we had here tasted great!
