Marstall for the win - Edit

Huge buffet with a ton of vegetarian & vegan options. A little expensive for non-students and pretty crowded during lunchtime.

Pros: offically the best mensa in germany, huge buffet a lot of vegan & vegetarian options, nice ambiente indoors & outdoors

Cons: more expensive than your typical mensa, pretty crowded during lunchtime, closes from 2025 until 2027 :(

Wow, a mensa with vegan options! - Edit

I was only there for a coffee break when visiting Heidelberg, but the fact that they had two different vegan muffins and plant milk for your coffee just casusally standing around there at the coffee counter really impressed me. You go, Heidelberg mensa!

Pros: Plant milk available , Open at the weekend

Cons: A bit busy

Great for Students @Heidelberg - Edit

Offers a huge buffet of salads and warm dishes, of which at least one is vegan. Noodles, rice and potatoe-products such as fries are mostly vegan too.
The desserts at the Zeughaus Bar are fantastic and affordable, offer changes daily.
WARNING: The cheap price of 89 cent p/100g is only available for Students of Heidelberg University, non students pay double price!

Pros: Loads of vegan options, nice outdoor seating,

Cons: Expensive for non-locals, crowded at lunch
