Fabulous food - Edit
So happy we went here tonight. In town for a conference and went here as two vegans and an omni. Quite a few vegan options to chose from. I had the tofu donburi which was so tasty, my friend had a noodle salad which she really loved. The service was excellent.

Get the Mapo Tofu Ramen - Edit
Wow. The Mapo tofu ramen was amazing. The tofu was seasoned so well and the noodles were great. It has eggplant and mushroom sauce that’s amazing. Would come back!

Awesome spot downtown! - Edit
Tons of vegan options, close to a lot of things downtown (we walked across the stone arch bridge to Aster Cafe for live music afterwards). Really cool vibes.

Tons of options and delicious food - Edit
Was a stop while staying in downtown Minneapolis, and definitely didn’t regret it! While not fully vegan, there are plenty of good options in the appetizers and entrees sections. Unfortunately, no vegan desserts were available when I went, though. Also definitely don’t miss out on their Japanese style highballs (chu-hai)!

Cons: No vegan desserts, Would appreciate more vegan ramen options

Pretty good! - Edit
Yakisoba was sweet and well balanced flavor. Can add tofu for $3.50, and they give you a lot. Overall great!
Read moreMapo tofu was a bit disappointing. No detectable Szechuan and very salty.
Gyoza is deep fried and fine. Seems frozen (freshly made it just so much better)
I’d be interested in coming back to try the other options!
Pros: Labeled vegan options , Every category has v/o (no dessert)

only one vegan ramen - Edit
I had their vegan brothless ramen and it was really good, but considering their vegan options are so limited, not sure I'd go back for a while

I would saw they are much better than some other options in town. Fresh, creative, and flavorful.

Zen Box, I will always love you - Edit
A treasure for sure!
Read moreAmazing atmosphere and fun location. They've gotten super popular and busy over the years which just proves how great they are.
I was pescetarian at the time we discovered them so I am partial to the more carnivore side of the menu. If I was searching for good vegan food through and through, I would search elsewhere with a place that offers more. Nevertheless, go here if you love authentic Japanese food and culture!
Pros: Cool place
Cons: Busy

Ramen and Sake - Edit
The vegan brothless ramen is delicious, and the tofu stir fry, while simple, is a tasty light option. The many vegan appetizers really shine, though, as does the extensive sake list. You won’t be disappointed!

Tasty options - Edit
They have a few gluten free vegan options. Place is often busy & crowded, but that’s a good sign, right?

On a wet night on a business trip, I ran from my hotel to the restaurant. Warm, welcoming place. Excellent tofu steak donburi. And vegan churros for dessert!

One of my favorite vegan meals in the city - Edit
This is a great place to go with your non-vegan friends. The broth-less ramen is INCREDIBLE, the dumplings are great, and they have many other amazing appetizers. Servers are super knowledgeable about which items are vegan. They also have great cocktails!
