Good breakfast - Edit
We went there at 10.30 am and the only pastries were a single croissant and blueberry muffins. We got the croissant, one muffin, a coffee and an orange juice, everything was good. Wish they had had more pastries.

Zazie mi ha davvero aperto un mondo! Non conoscevo questa catena e sono rimasta particolarmente sorpresa dalla qualità delle proposte (molte delle quali vegan). La particolarità di questo posto sono gli imballi delle pietanze fredde che si trovano già nel frigo in comodi contenitori di plastica da portar via; se invece si consuma in loco, il locale offre una grande varietà di salsine (non sempre veg), crostini e semi. Dunque ogni giorno nel frigo si trovano diverse proposte di zuppa fredda, tanti tipi di cereali con verdure, diverse insalate e yogurt (vaccini) conditi con frutta. E se questo non dovesse bastare, servono anche zuppe calde, centrifughe e macedonie. Ho apprezzato molto anche la disponibilità del ristoratore che mi ha spiegato gli ingredienti pietanza per pietanza.L'unico vero difetto, già segnalato dagli altri recensori, è il poco spazio interno.
Read moreVorrei fare un appunto circa i prezzi, visto che alcune recensioni parlavano di "prezzi elevati" o "nella media". Non so esattamente dove queste persone siano abituate a mangiare, ma onestamente 3,95€ per una zuppa veg, fatta sul momento con ortaggi visibilmente freschi, con la possibilità di aggiungere ogni condimento immaginabile...bé, io lo trovo un prezzo decisamente onesto, soprattutto tenendo conto della zona (pieno centro a Bologna). Senza considerare l'imballaggio di plastica ben fatto e a prova di borsetta.
Queste considerazioni sono ovviamente personali, ma se si sceglie di seguire un'alimentazione veg friendly o si ha a cuore l'ambiente, non vedo come si possano poi pretendere prezzi da fast-food lontani dall'etica di Zazie.

I visited here twice, 2 days in a row. (July 31st and August 1st, 2011). The 31st was a Sunday, and if you've traveled in Europe you know that finding a place, let only a quality place, that's open on a Sunday in southern Europe is a big deal. Needless to say, I was super excited to see that Zazie was 1 of 2 of 23 HC listings that is open on Sundays. (Centro Natura is the other open for Brunch)
Read moreAnyway... it's a small place (7 seats) but cozy & clean. I had the pleasure to meet the owner, Marco, and he is super guy not to mention speaks English very well (as did the other staff member I met).
They have a nice selection of fresh juices, smoothies, a daily soup, fruit salads, granola and other bits and bites including cous cous. They have "whaetgrass" but it comes in a jar and has other ingredients in it. Most things are Vegan but they do carry milk and yogurt. My only critic would be the lack of GREENS! However, that seems to be the norm for Europe. (I've been here for 4 months, 2 of which were spent on a farm and at farmers markets and I have not once seen Kale!)
Overall, it was a good experience and I would return.
If you can read a little Italian, be sure to check out their website. It's very informative.
