Amazing amount of food - Edit
When we went we got the "veggie toon for two" substituting cauliflower and eggplant for the spinach pies which aren't vegan. We told the cashier we're vegan and she told the kitchen staff, but still when they brought the food out they brought a couple things that weren't vegan like their garlic sauce and some bread that has butter, but we had them take it back. That and the 4% surcharge for paying with a card are the reasons I'm not giving 5 stars. The food was really good and for $33 for 2 people it was twice as much as two of us could eat.

Delicious Vegan Options - Edit
Delicious vegan options. The baba ghanoush and tahini sauce are not vegan, so if you want to order vegan, exclude those. Some vegan options include falafel, veggie grape leaves, mujadara, rice (traditional Middle Eastern dish of lentils and rice), bulgar (bulgar wheat and tomato sauce), hummus, and tabouli.

good food - Edit
Good food, and they work with Vegans. The potato kibbie is killer. They are quick to explain their vegan options.

Good and healthy - Edit
This is an excellent place for vegan options, the prices are comparable to other Mediterranean restaurants, everything I’ve had has been tasty and seemingly well made. The staff has always been courteous and professional.

Excellent Mediterranean Food - Edit
Zaytoons is easily in my top 3 restaurants I’ve enjoyed since moving to Lansing. Their food is of a high quality and fresh. I’m a big fan of their falafel, it’s got a crispyness to it that has set it apart from the few other falafel that I’ve tried. They have a separate vegetarian menu available with combos, most of which are Vegan. My favorite meal there is the spinach pie combo which includes tabbouleh, humus and additionally comes with pita wraps and a soup or salad for about $10. I’ve also tried the fried eggplant / cauliflower combos. Their hummus and tabbouleh are fantastic, while the house salad / soup are alright but add to the value you’re getting for the price. Even my non-veg friends list the restaurant among their favorite but that would be for the non-veg meals. If you eat there often enough they have a points card to get $5 off after a certain amount of entrees are purchased as well.
Read morePros: Decent sized vegetarian menu, Great flavor to the food, Affordable and competitive pricing
Cons: Underwhelming soup/salad, The other contents of their combos are similar , Haven’t been able to dine inside (Covid19)

Delicious - Edit
Food was great and staff friendly. I was visiting Lansing for work and a co-worker recommended we get their take-away. I got a combo with tabouli (fresh and flavourful).
Read moreThe place was packed and was very busy with other take-away orders. I would definitely come back.
Pros: fresh flavorful food

Lots of awesome vegan options - Edit
Zaytoons has a lot of awesome vegan options. I usually get a falafel pita wrap (this has non-vegan tahini sauce so you may want to sub hummus) and a side salad (usually tabbouli or fattouch). Sometimes I get the Traditional Combo instead, which gives you a sampling of several vegan items (the baba ganoush is not vegan so you may want to sub something like more hummus). (There are plenty of vegan plates without making substitutions, but these dishes are my favorite!)
Read moreThe indoor seating is a little awkward. There is limited outdoor seating which is okay. Sharp Park is very nearby, so you could eat there as well.
The staff are usually pretty good about answering questions. They even have a note on their counter and their website saying "all vegetarian items are vegan except the baba ganoush and tahini sauce".
Pros: Delcious Mediteranean food
Cons: Seating is awkward
