I usually eat in Zaytoon. It has a very good vegan/vegetarian options and is environmentally friendly for taking food away. You will find 3 branches in the town and one in greater Dublin(Swards). However, it serves meat.

Zaytoon has become my go to bite for after drinks. You will never eat another falafel wrap in some random kebab shop again. So tasty and well spiced and their hummus is amazing

Food was great and vegan options clearly labelled. Not the kind of cuisine you find often (other than falafel and houmous) so was glad to have come across it.
Read moreHad a bit of difficulty with language when I went to check one of the sauces we were given. Was told 'vegan sauce' but couldn't say what it was... Staff were pretty vacant, which was a shame. Wouldn't have felt confident ordering food if it hadn't been marked vegan.

This was a surprise, everything was delicious. The price is right and the meals are large. We had a small dish and it was already enough. I had a dish, flatbread, a salad for 11 euro’s, and they gave me the salad 🥗 to take home so i enjoyed it on a sandwich the day after!

I ordered the roasted aubergine. It is cooked in tomato sauce and stuffed with herb spiced rice. It was served with fresh chopped salad and a fresh taftun bread. I got the small and it was plenty. The service was fast and the aubergine melted in my mouth. The only thing I’ll complain about is I’m pretty sure the tzatziki sauce that was on the plate was not vegan. They were very busy, I didn’t ask so I’m not sure.

Really Good and Huge Portions - Edit
Me and my boyfriend shared the small falafel (which was actually more like a large) and the stuffed pepper dishes (which came with a side salad and bread). They were both delicious and filling. Definitely get the small sizes as portions are huge and shareable.

I got the small baked falafel which came with 5 pieces for €9. Good size portions and very filling. They have all their vegan options in a separate section so easy to see what’s available! There’s different portion sizes aswell which is handy

I used to go to this place in the past, but stopped after I became a vegan as I wasn't sure if they had a vegan option. After their renovation, they added a new vegan/vegetarian menu with at least 7 vegan options of kebabs, rice and soup.
Read moreI had the falafel kebab, and it was great. I also ove the fact they are open until 5am, when usually most of these places open they offer a vegan option.
I totally recommend it!
Pros: Opening hours, Variety, Fresh (no fried or frozen ingredients)
