In Love With The Fool - Edit
We went to dinner at this Syrian restaurant and everything was truly delicious. Zayna has many of the expected dishes, but the Mujadara plate and the Fool Tahini & Green Beans were deliciously different and represented the owner's home country. They were very knowledgeable about vegan options and even had a vegan pistachio balkava that I got to take with us!

Really flavorful Middle Eastern food. Cauliflower sandwich is so good. Falafel plate is really good as well. Staff is wonderful. One of my favorite stops in Tucson.

Like a party in my mouth! - Edit
I enjoyed this locally owned, cozy place. I had the veggie platter because it had a nice variety of options to try. I particularly liked the baba ghannuj and the rolled grape leaves. The flavors in the grape leaves were enticing: a bit lemony and with a slight hint of mint. I love falafel and I appreciate that these were not greasy, but they seemed a little dry. The za’tar spices on the pita were the highlight of the meal. The flavors “popped” in my mouth! I have never had anything like it!

EXCELLENT!! - Edit
This was our first visit to Zayna. We were very pleased that our waitress knew exactly what was vegan or could be made vegan. The falafel sandwich was excellent. Zayne will definitely be in our rotation of dining out places.

YUMMY LUNCH DATE VIBE - Edit
This place is your traditional Mediterranean restaurant with a twist. The atmosphere is great and there are the traditional suspects for vegans (I.e. falafel, salad, hummus, etc) but they alsooooo ft. a cauliflower sandwich, which I find super original! Definitely recommend for a lunch date! Service was super fast and I’ll definitely be going back! The fries are absolutely delicious! Perfect amount of spices. Must try! ALSO AFFORDABLE!

Very tasty - Edit
Ordered falafel plate for my husband and vegetarian plate for me. Easily Vegan and for me also GF. They happily substituted rice and cucumbers for the pita. I usually eat an oil free diet but splurged because it’s falafel! We ordered lunch for carry out as there was no outdoor dining. Some people were eating inside.

WONDERFUL - Edit
This is my go-to restaurant for groups of any size or dietary preference. I’m vegan and ADORE the veg platter. The dastardly is out of this world. Everyone I bring here loves it and I have to go at least twice a month to avoid withdrawals. The wines and beers are very nice as well as the food

Great Falafel - Edit
The falafel is very tasty. All vegetarian meals can be made into vegan. Lots of options. Generous portions. Reasonably priced. Great lunch specials on Sundays. I’m not sure about other days. Takes me back to the days when I lived in the Mediterranean. They have tasty lamb and chicken for your non-vegan friends as well. If you are not full, they also have baklava.

Excellent Vegan Food - Edit
The waitress knew exactly what was vegan and what wasn't. I ordered the vegetarian plate, and subbed out the one item that had milk for extra falafels. It was delicious! Best falafel ever! Hummus was great, I even liked the stuffed grape leaves, which I'm usually not a fan of. It also came with salad and baba ganoush. FYI the regular pita bread is vegan, though the other type of pita they have (za'tar) contains milk. Oh, and the fries are amazing! I ordered some to go and had them for breakfast the next day!

More than just falafel and hummus - Edit
Don't get me wrong, I love falafel and hummus, but seeing the variety on Zayna's menu was very exciting. On my first trip I did get the falafel sandwich, which comes with their AMAZING fries for $5.95. Their fries are thin discs with lemon and spices - just the right amount of spicy. A very filling and delicious lunch. Can't wait to go back and try their other offerings.

Get your Lebanese food fix on! - Edit
We love Zayna's for dine-in Lebanese food. Be warned you will not have enough bread in your take-out container unless you ask them for more than one serving. The Foul Maddamus, Falafel and Majadra are all favorites.

Excellent falafel - Edit
My husband & I LOVE this place. We discovered it close to a year ago & we were eating there so often that most of the waiters/waitresses there knew our order. You can get a falafel sandwich with fries & a drink for $5.95...I'm pretty sure that's cheaper than most fast food! We have been out of Tucson since September & the place we miss most is definitely Zayna. I am picky about falafels & have not had a falafel I liked as much since I left.

My vegan friends and family and I eat here at least once a week. Even my non-vegan family and friends love it. Zayna has great lunch specials and wonderful baba ghanoush and falafel, as well as too many great dishes to mention. The price is right, the food is fast and the staff is friendly and helpful.
