Great Asian fusion restaurant

Very good place for quick and delicious Asian food. Also very affordable. I went two days in a row, during my stay in Prague. Would definitely recommend.

There is no better vegan pho in the center of Prague

One of my favorite places in Prague. For the most part, it's a combination of my passion for Pho soups and at the same time a large selection of vegan dishes. The restaurant has an unconventional division into two basic menus. One classic and one vegan. Both are similarly extensive.

I've been here for vegan Pho maybe 100 times and I'm not exaggerating. It is definitely among the TOP 3 best vegan Pho in Prague. The pickled bamboo, which you can have as much as you want, is also incredible. I had many other dishes here and I would say that the vegan versions of Bun Cha or Bun Bo Nam Bo are worth a try.

We often go to the bistro with colleagues who only eat meat options, and they are very satisfied. I like to go here whenever I have time and walk around. The smiling lady who is here every day behind the cash register can create a really pleasant atmosphere. 10/10

Pros: Vegan menu, One of the best Pho soup in Prague, Pickled bamboo

Alright

The food was alright. There was enough vegan options in the pay-by-weight buffet. Someone said they had complimentary water but I did have to buy a bottle. Wasn’t expencive but thought I’d mention.

Friendly and tasty

First thing they asked us when we entered was if we’re vegan, when we said yes they quickly gave us the vegan menu which is huge! One of us chose the buffet option and the other the vegan Bun Cha. Very tasty and very good price. Worth a visit if you’re in Prague and like Asian food.

The staff is super friendly and speaks English which helps. Looks like lots of locals eat here and stops by for takeout too.

We might move to live closer to this restaurant

We found this by accident. We were in Prague 7 and happen to see this place on the corner. Oddly, I used to live down street 15 years ago - unfortunately this wasn’t open then.

This is like old school NYC/ SF Chinatown style. Just amazing. They serve meat but have a separate menu for vegan.

Everything we have had is incredible. Pad Thai, Tom Kha soup, summer rolls, udon and tofu curry- highly recommend. We will be here as often as possible!!! Go now!

Great Asian restaurant for everyone

I love eating at Zau, it’s small Asian restaurant in heart of Holešovice. They have two menus: green-one is veggie only, red-one is for your no-vegetarian friend.

They have very friendly staff and food is excellent.

Pros: Friendly staff , Menus and food options for everyone, Fast meal preparation

Really good!

I'd give it 5 stars if the app allowed it. I got there hungry after 8 hours of travelling and the food was everything I needed - the portion was big, the food itself was delicious, the service was really nice and fast. It was quite cheap too. There are meat dishes, but fairly lots of vegetarian options to choose from too.

good to have a place to eat lunch

As Zau Vegetarian is the only place to eat vegan in area, we are very glad to have a place to spend a work break. To be true, the food is the same as in other Loving Huts, however, the sauce seems to be a bit worse. Nevertheless, they have amazing sushi which I am a huge fan of!

Best asian vegan food in Prague imo

Most of the times I don’t feel like cooking I end up here. The food is really delicious, especially the vegan bun bo nam bo. Staff is always super friendly as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Pros: Open monday to sunday

Terrible

Food was tasteless and kinda mashy and old. Sushi was terrible, old noodles, spring roll oily af. Staff was friendly, but clearly had issues with math as I had to pay more than I was supposed to. (due to slevomat voucher). I ended up not eating at all as I felt bad after eating just 10% of the food I ordered.

There are plenty of great vegan alternatives around for a similar price (Loving Hut or Veganland for an instance), they serve literally the same food, but it has definitely a better quality than Zau does.

Cons: boring atmosphere, unqualified staff, Old food

Cute place, lovely people

This place is great, especially if you live in the area, as it's close, and cheap, and basically loving hut (better than some LH locations which are eugh).

It's the typical buffet food, typical price, but only 80 czk in the evening, which is a bargain for filling your plate high.

The owners are a lovely family, always kind and welcoming.

Pros: Cheap, Close by, Only real vegan place in the area

Cons: No desserts :D

Lovely buffet

Pay-per-weight for lunch, a bit cheaper than Loving Hut.
Pay-per-plate for dinner because they want to empty up all the daily meals.

Cheap pho

Decided to come to Zau’s on a weekend to fulfil my craving for a hearty Vietnamese noodle soup. The pho broth itself is a little plain (no hoisin sauce to make up for it) and there wasn’t any fresh bean sprouts on offer like there traditionally is, although I got a solid meal for only 95ck so I can’t complain too much. Service is sparse, you order and pay at the counter.

Fine if you're local

We ate here because it was the closest place on Happy Cow and we were hungry. Very cheap, only 80 per person. Helped ourselves to the buffet, but because we were the only people in you always wonder how long the food has been there.. not that it's an issue or their fault! Tried pretty much everything and most of it was nice:) definitely fine for a quick trip. Nothing special.

Pros: Plenty vegan options

Ok

Better version of Loving Hut chain. You have to know what to eat otherwise can be disappointing. Especially stir fried can be very oily!
