Great local spot

Zariffa is a special place. It's been around for a while for a reason. It's a small neighborhood coffee shop with great vibes. Part of the seating is in a more "indoor" area and the other part right next to it, is in a nice little "outdoorsy" patio garden. No two seats or tables match and each one has a different feel. My kids and I love sittting on the swings.

The coffee is great (and there are a ton of non-dairy milk choices) and my kids love the hot cocoa and Kids Chocolate milk here which comes with Sprinkles and whipped cream (Warning: tell them no marshmallows as the marshmallows are made from fish gelatin).

For food, the way to go is the sanwiches and the salads. The sanwiches are made with top quality ingredients and the Antipasti Sandwich is a real winner. The salads are big portions and they are very generous with the more expensive ingredients. My wife got the Roquefort and Pear, and there were heaps of cheese on it. All the ingredients are fresh and high quality.

The Pizza is decent but I would not order it again. Crust is okayish and while I appreciate them having a vegan cheese you can taste it's one one of cheaper types which sticks to the roof of your mouth. Still it's a nice addition to the menu.

For me what really makes it special is the very local neighborhood feel and its a perfect place for special daddy-daughter time, or for a date with the mrs, or for banging out work on your computer. The atmosphere is warm and charming and the food and drinks are winners too.
