Big beer selection, all burgers can be made vegan, all sauces are vegan and the staff was very nice. It felt welcoming and safe. Would totally come back.

Delicious vegan patty made with jackfruit and large portions of good quality fries. Also lots of local draft beers to choose from. You can choose to vegan use and burgers and the vegan options are clearly marked on the menu.

The food here was amazing. We had onion Rings and dumpling-wedges for Starters and a vegan bbq Burger with Fries and coleslaw.

They also offer a huge selection of local, franconian Beers.
The staff is also very friendly.
Everything was awesome!
If you want to visit on the weekend, it's advisable to make a reservation.

Great vegan burger - Edit
One vegan burger option which was great (and hard to find in Bamberg). The fried onion rings are also vegan, which were delicious, and they had 2 different options of vegan sauce to go with them. We had the vegan smoked bbq sauce which was very good.

Restaurant close to city centre - Edit
Nice outside seating area in a backyard. Only one vegan burger (and one vegetarian) with pulled jackfruit, but it is very good. The fries are also very tasty and well-seasoned. The coleslaw is vegan, too, which is rare. Unfortunately, there is no vegan dessert. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

Unfortunately they went out of the veggie patty (with that they said they can do nearly every burger vegan), so I took the jack fruit burger which was AMAZING. Super special and rare combination with pulled jack fruit, apple-red cabbage salad etc. But was really awesome. And super friendly staff :)

A very great burger restaurant with a beergardenatmosphere. They have one vegans burger on the menu but almost all burgers can be veganized. The beers they have are all from the area and you can see on a map where they are brewed. The staff is friendly and if you like beergardens you'll instantly feel comfy. We had a great time and definitely would go there again.

Hearty, tasty burgers - Edit
We went to Zapfhahn for lunch while on a day trip to Bamberg. There were no vegan options on the lunch menu, but the waiter said they would veganise the old fashioned burger for me. The patty was made with beans, and it was absolutely gigantic! It was a really big, tasty meal. The chips were even better than the burger, really well-seasoned. The staff seemed very informed about veganism and were really helpful. We sat out in the courtyard and really enjoyed the whole experience. The restaurant is quite central, so it's easy to pop in while you're seeing the sights.

Burger and Beer - Edit
Zapfhahn is the best burger restaurant in Bamberg. Best thing bout them apart from their burgers being delicious is that all of them can be served vegetarian, a lot of them vegan. You just tell the waiter you want the vegetarian patty instead of meat.(If you are vegan watch out if there is any cheese listed.) The patties are made of beans and have a little liquid smoke in them, very tasty.
Read moreThe burgers are mostly around 8 to 12 € but they don't include side dishes. There is regular fries, sweet potato fries and coleslaw (not vegan). They also have different dips like aioli or home made ketchup.
Only downside to this place is that it is always packed. So you should definitely call and reserve a table if you want to eat here. Better more than one day in advance.
Would give them 5/5 but I can't since they also serve meat.
