Healthy cafeteria-style food - Edit
The cafeteria-style buffet is really good. The food is wholesome and seems pretty healthy; it wasn’t oily and focused on Whole Foods. They have a lot of diversity of options, most of which are vegan, including several types of protein. I ate seitan, tofu (two ways), and two types of beans in one meal! I left full for a reasonable price. Buffets can add up but with so many high-protein options it’s easy to not take too much food and still be sated.

Great sandwiches - Edit
The best rueben I’ve ever had. Their vegan BLT is also really good. Great soups & a hot food bar that you pay per pound. Visiting the area and ate here two days in a row it’s so good.

Fantastic! - Edit
Great atmosphere with excellent vegan options. I got Z & E’s (vegan) choice (which can be vegan, vegetarian, or omni), which is a $17 dish created by the kitchen! No input from the customers. It was delicious and felt like a well-curated sampling board of their vegan options. If I come back, I’d love to try the vegan club!

Soooo yummy!! - Edit
I really love that they have vegetarian and vegan options. Everything we had was delicious (my mom and I ordered 2 different sandwich plates and split them). It was back in November, but I will go hear again for sure.
Read moreIt was a little awkward to wait in line to order while others were going through the buffet and staff were trying to move back and forth from the kitchen to the seating area. They could use more space!
Pros: Great vegan options, Fresh and tasty
Cons: Seating is limited, Checkout and buffet awkward

Many options in the pay by weight section - Edit
There are many vegan options in the pay by weight section and you can make yourself a very filling and satisfying plate. I only saw 1 vegan baked good, so they could improve in that department.

I love the concept - Edit
Dined in today from the hot food bar, paying for the food by weight. Enjoyed it so much we bought some more as take away to have at the hotel later. Friendly and laid back, absolutely packed with locals which always tells you something as a visitor.

1000/5 stars. Some of the best vegan eats I've ever had. The Seitan Reuben was BUSSIN. Super cute atmosphere inside. I felt like I was in a hobbit hole ☺️

Iconic spot in Burlington - Edit
Thrilled that the hot and cold bars are back open! I always love the fresh whole foods I can find. The owners are very responsive to feedback and offering more vegan options. The glazed maple tofu is amazing, the vegan potpie is excellent, and the peanut butter bars are always a favorite.

Good vegan food, wish there were more option - Edit
I really enjoyed my vegan club sandwich but I wish they had more options like vegan pastries. I also believe there was only one or two vegan items on the menu and if you didn’t want those there was a salad bar, so it would have been nice to see more options that were vegan or could be made vegan more easily. The place itself is pretty nice and cozy. Overall I would go again, but I would like to see some expansion to the menu.

Incredible flavors! - Edit
There are always delicious vegan options on the hot bar. This is one of my favorite places! From vegan falafel pie to African chickpea stew with a side of basmati rice, to vegan lasagna with cashew cheese, they always have several earthy dishes to choose from, and all of the flavors seem to go well together no matter what type of plate you compose. Also a cold salad bar with ferments and bunches of fresh veggies. Tons of vegan deserts, breads, and a chalkboard menu if you want to order a vegan club rather than eat from the hot bar. I haven’t tried their menu items, but love the hot bar and desserts!

nice lunch spot - Edit
this is a cute little salad bar/hot food bar with a few vegan options daily/on the menu. they charge by the pound but you can get a lot of food for a fairly reasonable price. i had jamaican seitan that was quite good as a makeshift sandwich with the complentary bread. recommend if you’re looking for a good, home cooked style hearty meal. place is small so busy times might be hectic

Delicious Food and Nice Staff - Edit
My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch and were really happy with the selection. We split the Vegan Club and also got a selection from the hot and cold bar. Everything we had was delicious. The vegan club is really robust and especially tasty. My only complaint was that it was an unusually hot day in Burlington and it was almost unbearably hot inside. That said, it was worth the extra sweat. Highly recommend for a casual vegan bite.

Replace traditional dishes w/ seitan/tofu - Edit
Wee bit disappointed in the quality of food. Vegan club was “aight” and consisted mainly of subbing out the meat for some ok seitan and solidly spiced tofu. Buffet looked great but at $11.95/lb is pricey.

Staff make the place - Edit
Staff were very knowledgable on veganism and said they could really make any dish vegan upon request. I got a tofu melt and it was delicious. They had plenty of sandwiches and a hot bar that had a few vegan options as well.

Plenty of options - Edit
It seems like about 60% of the food here is vegan (aside from the baked goods, though I did have a yummy vegan cookie). I had the hot bar; it was a little expensive, and you do pay by weight, but it was absolutely delicious. I liked how cozy the place felt, but I don't mind noisiness.

Best vegan food in Burlington - Edit
Over my two day stay, this was by far the best food I had in Burlington (though I loved Revolution Kitchen as well). I would give this five cows if I could, but because it serves a small amount of meat (usually about 10% of what's on offer), it's not possible. But this place is very vegan friendly, and great for vegetarians. More importantly, I did not have a single thing there that wasn't completely delicious. The buffet was probably the best in this category that I've ever had. Every dish was well-spiced and innovative. The baked goods were top notch, with a new vegan muffin (or two), and vegan peanut butter bars, every day. My only regret was I did not get to try one of the amazing looking sandwich offerings. Fairly priced too.

We only had servings from the buffet. These are sold by weight, and can add up. The food was decent and tasty. We would go there again try their other offerings. Vegan and gluten free selections are clearly marked.

Hot Soup on a Cold Day - Edit
We were visiting Burlington from a warmer locale and really wanted some soup to warm up. Checked a few of the asian places, but decided on Stone Soup instead. Very glad we did.
Read moreThey do serve non-veg stuff, but the vegan items are much better integrated into the menu than most places labeled veg-friendly. In addition to the soup (all or some of which were vegan on our visits), there are a few specifically vegan sandwiches and the buffet was vegan entrees, non-vegan entrees, then lots of veggie-based sides.
The bread was delicious. The service was friendly, if minimal (pay at the counter, anything made to order is brought out later, no one checks on you).
It can get a bit crowded and the tables are really close together, but if that is the sort of cozy atmosphere you are looking for, it's a really nice place to sit.
Pros: soup, bread
Cons: meat
