I was waiting more - Edit
It’s a lovely place. Great for dates or anniversary. Good service and location. But for the price I was waiting better food. Maybe my expectations were too right.

Fancy! - Edit
We booked a table on the recommendation of a friend. I booked for an outside table but we were seated inside. The seats were very comfortable. We were asked if we were both vegan a couple of times (yes) but we were given one vegan menu and one vegetarian menu but they probably just picked up the wrong menu, all good. They recommend 6-7 dishes. We had a few from the small plates, one main and one side. If you order the baba ganoush they recommend ordering bread. We also ordered the kofta, fried potatoes, mushroom shish and later desserts. I had a vanilla pash (non alcoholic drink) which was less passion fruit and a bit sweeter than I’d hoped. It was nice enough, but I would have liked it to be less sweet. The food was nice and I particularly enjoyed the mushroom shish with a lentil salad. The serves were good but I wouldn’t say huge. We also ordered dessert. All the desserts can be made vegan, just remind them. The chocolate banana Halva was incredible. A great flavour and generous serve. My partner enjoyed the baklava ice cream sandwich which he liked.

Best vegan food in BNE - Edit
Great atmosphere. Food was amazing, so flavourful but not too rich that it was sickly. Vegan options were vast, meals are recommended to share, friendly staff. Definitely worth the price!

Great quality and a special experience - Edit
Lovely decor, quality food and great service. The flavour of the food pops in you’re mouth. The stand out dish was the koftas so hearty and meaty. The mocktail was lovely also.

We loved our meal and well worth the price. Also love that they list vegan wines ❤️ There is an entire Vegan menu so make sure you ask for that.

Ask for the vegan menu - Edit
Came here with a friend at short notice. The restaurant was busy and since there was no aircon, just fans, we asked to sit outside. The staff was friendly enough to accommodate our special request. We just ordered a couple of small plates each - the mains looked amazing but there was neither room on the table or in our bellies. The falafel and houmus wer really tasty and bread came with it, so I was glad we hadn’t ordered flatbread separately. I’d happily come here again. Best to book ahead, especially at the weekends.

Fine middle eastern vegan dining - Edit
If I could give 4.5/5 stars I would. The food was amazing. The decor and atmosphere in the side rooms are great and the wait staff are friendly. The missing .5 comes from the wait staff making a mistake and sending us vegetarian options with animal products instead of vegan options. They quickly and graciously rectified that though, with the manager personally apologising.

Fine Dining Feast - Edit
Located in The Emporium precinct (facing Wickham St): cocktail bar, 2 lounges, 2 dining rooms, open kitchen, live music, etc. My friend had the vegetarian "Feast" set menu and I had the vegan version (10 dishes, $65pp, a bargain). These menus are synched so you share courses (and most dishes). The food is richly flavoured, but balanced, both across the variety of dishes and within the dishes themselves (the parfait's a lovely mix of sweet and sour, smooth rhubarb, rose and cherry tastes with crunchy cacao). Vegan cheezes are imported, local or crafted in-house. Table bookings are for 2.5 hours. With pre-dinner cocktails we easily soaked up 2 hours and the time flew by. Staff are lovely, cheerful and helpful. Relaxed dining atmosphere, low lighting, lovely napkins (more of a buzz in the cocktail bar). Vegan selections are indicated on wine menu (the rosé i had was divinely dry). The "feast" was more than ample for two hungry diners, dishes start out small but get larger and by the end I couldn't fit in all my dessert!
