Can I Live Here? - Edit
Ever since I stayed at this wonderful guesthouse, I have only been thinking about when I can go back. The hosts were so friendly, the accommodations were relaxing, the whole place was spotless, and of course the food was amazing! We got the dinner and breakfast with our stay and we left so happy and full (which never happens with us on pre set menus). We were talking with the hosts about finding sushi and they prepared it for us as a surprise at dinner. They said they have never made it for guests before, but you couldn’t tell because it was so flavorful and delicious. All of the food was amazing!

Relaxing stay, delicous food 🧡 - Edit
We spent 4 nights in this great, calm and peaceful guest house and we really enjoyed the beautiful, carefully selected vegan food with lots of local ingredients, all vegan and delicious. The food has influences from the Jomon period, which suits the setting - nearby there are the the Oyu Stone Circles, which are highly recommended to visit. The hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very nice and cozy and they have their own hot spring for private bathing. The house itself is an old house with lots of wood which was renovated and stylishly designed! I recommend this place with all my heart. We were able to relax and unwind.

The best place for vegans to stay! - Edit
The vegan course dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing! Very delicious and satisfying (I was stuffed!) with local, organic, seasonal vegetables and other ingredients. The owners are really nice and are wonderful cooks! The building is beautiful and the beds are soooooo comfortable! There aren't many guests staying at once and you can have the hot spring all to yourself! There is a zero waste shop where you can buy some things in bulk! I want to go here every month!

My husband and I went back to stay for the second time October 29-30. The fall leaves were perfect in this area and we were impressed once again with the beauty of this lovely town.
On our first stay, we ordered the vegan course dinner and breakfast. Everything was delicious, and it was a lot of food! This time, we went for the vegan hotpot dinner option and breakfast. All of the food was delicious as usual, and we enjoyed all the local, organic, seasonal ingredients. The plates were garnished with beautiful red maple leaves and the presentation of the food was perfect as usual.
This time, we requested in advance vegan bentos to take with us on the day of checkout because we wanted to explore the area more before heading home and there are no other vegan restaurants in the area. We brought our own containers from home and they filled them up with the same ingredients that they used for our breakfast. We got to enjoy a delicious lunch after seeing the fall leaves.
The hospitality and warmth of the owners at Yuzaka is one of the great points of staying at this inn. We will be back!
