Nice back yard to sit in - Edit
Lovely people who own this place and friendly staff. So good to take the kids as there is a outdoor back area where they can play, and they have toys for them to play with as well. Love the interior, all different rooms and just feels really cosy. I usually get the mushroom crepes veganised and they are a-ma-zing! I get cravings for that dish every so often haha. They always have options in the cake cabinet too. I only had a sweet tooth whilst I was pregnant, but in that time was there every week for cake haha 🙈 The coffee is good too and I like how they have a little gift shop with the most wholesome presents. Oh and there are vegan ice blocks for the kiddos!
Read moreEditing my review: went back yesterday for our Christmas party. I was asked to choose where to go, so that I could choose a place that I know has vegan options, so I went with Yum Yum. The crepe was not on the menu anymore (perhaps a shorter summer menu). The only vegan (or even only vegetarian) option for lunch was the dehydrated wrap, everything else was sea animals. I have had it before and didn’t like it, so they offered to make something from the breaky menu. We considered leaving and going somewhere else, but I ended up opting for the vegan breaky bowl. Unfortunately that was super disappointing, I didn’t even eat it after trying a few bites. The veggies and corn tasted off, (carrots, cauliflower and pumpkin - didn’t look or taste good), the avo had black bits in it, the bottom of the bowl was just some soupy luke warm beans and more corn and a couple of sugar beans. The tofu was pretty tasteless. The only nice thing on the bowl was the hash brown. My friend had the veggie wrap and didn’t like it either. My other friend did like her lunch (a sea animal dish).
When telling my other friend about it later, she also said she thinks it is pretty hit and miss with food there.
Sad to have to edit this review as I was raving about the place when I wrote it 6 days ago, but this experience was just sooo disappointing…

Best cafe in Yamba - Edit
Staff were incredibly helpful when requesting gluten free and vegan options. They have a home baked GF pumpkin bread which was to die for. They swapped out items happily for me. The food was presented beautifully and it was evident care had been put into my meal. When I thanked the chef's, they were so delighted to have helped a vegan find someone to enjoy food in this small town.
