Delicious vegetarian food - Edit
Situated in the monastery premises this restaurant serves delicious vegetarian food and mock meats. While a few items weren't vegan, e.g., fried rice comes with egg by default, they give you the option to veganise it if you want. The food was good quality and the staff were helpful. They have an English menu with pictures. The BBQ pork actually tasted extremely close to real BBQ pig fat.

Happy Veggies - Yuen Yuen, Hong Kong - Edit
It's like Happy Veggies elsewhere. The social enterprise arrangement to employ hearing impaired staff is wonderful.
Read moreThe food is good also. It's a good idea to download the vegan passport if you speak Chinese neither verbally nor in sign language (for depending on the staff member who helps you). Dishes on the menu containing egg are marked. I believe the waitress indicated they don't milk nor honey. However such is my still abysmal grasp of HK linguistics I can offer no assurances re that.
It's an interesting setting among all the Buddhist / Taoist and Confuscist (sp?) type architecture and culture.
Pros: Vegan friendly, Social enterprise employing hearing impaired staff
Cons: 100% vegan would be better
