Excellent but BUSY place - Edit
NOTE: You should probably make a reservation. I went a bit past 8pm on Saturday and they were packed. I couldn't get in until 10pm. I was seated on the very not-level sidewalk but the waitress and I managed not to lose any dishes off the edge of the table.
Read moreAs noted, this restaurant clearly marks its vegetarian dishes, and the (overworked) staff know what that means and what vegan means. I started with lemon tea, which I'd never heard of before. It was delicious.
I then got "chinese vegetable" salad. That usually means pak choi but not in this case. I asked what it was and the waitress could only say in Chinese (and of course I forgot). It's some kind of stem vegetable maybe something related to gai lan. There was also a bit of carrot and some garlic in a vinegar sauce. Very tasty! I actually slurped the last of the sauce off the dish.
Then I got steamed veggie dumplings. Filling was just cabbage and carrot, but a little soy sauce added some zing.
Next up was tofu in spicy sauce. This was much like ma po tofu, with a thick, dark, spicy sauce, except there were no peas and carrots, but lots of red & green bell pepper. And some mushrooms.
Finally I got "cauliflower in the pot of fire". That just meant it came on top of a little candle and was served piping hot. This too had lots of bell pepper and mushrooms, and a light but spicy sauce.
Pros: Really good food, Vegetarian items clearly marked on menu
Cons: Smokers at sidewalk tables. Sit inside if you can!

Cibo buono, personale cortese. Diverse opzioni vegane, come gnocchi di riso con verdure, gnocchi coreani, fagioli piccanti ecc. Tradizione da non infrangere assolutamente: il piatto girevole a centro tavola è da far girare rigorosamente in senso orario.

Excellent Chinese food in the heart of Chinatown - Edit
They can "veganize" almost any vegetarian dish. Just ask for vegani. Lots of choices and their food is hot and fresh.

Pros: Lots of vegetarian options that can be made vegan, Staff speaks multiple languages, incl. English, Food was so hot and fresh. Inexpensive, too.

Diverse possibilità vegan, le ragazze sono gentilissime e aiutano a scegliere. Ci sono anche possibilità fuori menù, per me ad esempio il "tofu secco con erba cipollina". I tre sapori di terra sono eccezionali.

Delicious chinese food with lots of vegan options - Edit
Loved this place. Friendly staff which know what vegan is. The menue has clearly vegetarian marked dishes, most of them are vegan. We had the fried soy noodles, the mushroom pak choi, the house tofu and the spicy beans and everything was amazing. Some of the tofu dishes can contain egg, just ask the staff. Also not expensive. Highly reccommend this place.
