Healthy, not greasy - Edit
Had the hot pot and chili tofu, neither of which were greasy, which was nice as I have generally found food here to be too oily. Great flavour and lots of fresh veg! Would go back. They were also very busy, which is a good sign.

Great taste, friendly staff - Edit
We had a stopover in toen for lunch, from all the available veggy places this one looked the most promising. It's a 5-10 minute walk from the train statuon away.
Read moreThere is also a small corner to sit outside. Inside they offer a range of local and imported organic stuff, such as pine seeds, olive oil, pickled bean curd, coffee etc.
I had the cumin fried rice, which had a really strong cumin flavor (those who don't particularly love cumin should stick to the other options, I liked it though) and my girlfriend the lion-head mushroom noodle soup, which cannot NOT be made vegan. But the staff will happily point out which dishes contain egg and or dairy.
For sides we orderes the cold tofu with Chinese Toon sauce which was just great and quite big considering it only costs NTD80! The juice was very good, too, a bit pricy though.
Pros: Great taste, nice staff and interior
Cons: A bit pricier, but def higher quality than in your, average Taiwanese veggy place

Yo Ji Da Di, Jiaosi - Edit
I had a hearty brunch here today of each of curry noodle soup, deep friend tofu and a veg and fruit juice smoothy. Very nice. Certainly not hungry after that lot.

Friendly, causal - Edit
Was here on a past trip to Taiwan, and here's my YoGeeDaDee Organic Lifestyle review.
Read moreWe had stayed in Jiaosi for the hot springs baths, for which this town is popular. While riding in the car, we saw a sign for "organic" (in Chinese) and made a point to stop in.
It's a friendly little place owned by a couple with kids. Besides selling packaged food stuff, they also offer food and blended drinks. Likely the only organic place in town. It's vegan friendly. No meat at all.
