Lovely atmosphere and location. Several vegan choices

There were several options included soup and vegan gnocchi and soup. Plant based spreads and milks

Pros: Options , Atmosphere , Gardens.

Cons: Not all vegan

Tasty vegan options in a peaceful setting

York Gate Garden offered a vegan special of the day & a couple of regular options on their lunch menu. I had oat milk in my latte.
The cakes weren't labelled as vegan, but the menu mentioned that they had vegan cakes, & when I asked if any were vegan I was given a choice of 3 cakes.
The staff are mainly volunteers & all very helpful & polite.
I opted for the vegan special of the day which was a delicious brocolli, squash & almond salad. I also had a blueberry cake which was delicious.
There is outdoor seating (indoor seating is available too) overlooking part of the garden.
I also paid to enter the garden itself when I visited which was well worth the trip. Entry to the cafe is free.
Really lovely place & I was so happy to see vegan options
