Only if you are desperate

You would need to have plenty of time as the service is slow, the hospitality is poor and the toasted sandwich we got was bland, did not have all the ingredients and was only slightly toasted.

Pros: Side salad

Cons: Location, Service, Food

No vegan dishes on menu but helpful staff

The staff was very willing to make changes to any dishes to make them vegan. Also nice drinks.

Sourdough bread

For vegans they have sourdough bread. I bought a loaf with sesame seeds. Delicious. They also sell tasty vegan jams.
Very good coffee.

Pros: Friendly and prettier cafe, Delicious bread, Good jam

Cons: No vegan options for cakes etc

One vegan option really

This is a good breakfast spot, but there is only one vegan option really - almond butter and banana toast.
The toast was nice, I even got a little serving of additional fruit on the side. However I'd wish to see more pastry options for vegans...

Only coffee, nothing else

They only have vegan coffee, the only vegan things would have been toasts with many of the ingrediënts being left out. The coffee was good, but there are many options for vegan coffee in Georgetown

Pros: Good coffee

Cons: No vegan food options

Not for vegans

After reading the good reviews we went to Yin's for breakfast, maybe we were unlucky but it was not a good experience. The person taking the orders couldn't understand what vegan means, we had to send back the bread because they added butter, the avocado with caramelized onion sandwich didn't come with sourdough bread but a sort of a brioche instead, we asked if it had milk or butter, they said no, but I am not 100% sure, so make sure you ask. Coffee was not great to be honest, I had an americano and nothing special, my partner ordered capuccino with oat milk, they charged 5 MYR extra for the milk.

Best coffee in Malaysia

I definitely had my best coffee of my entire time in Malaysia at thus café! And they do have oat milk, so several drinks can be made vegan. Most of the food options are vegetarian, but some can be adapted for vegans. All in all, a cosy place for your coffee fix!

Tasty bread, but nothing more for vegans

I thought, that probably something changed and they find any types of plant milk for adding to the menu
But, they still only know “normal” milk
That means, you can not have your usual coffee-breakfast here
So, I just bought the bread and made at home many tasty toasts 😂
Thanks

Pros: Bread is nice

Cons: No plant milk as separate option 👎🏻, Not very nice atmosphere to seat inside

Great for vegan breakfast

Yin makes various breads and cakes - most of the bread is vegan, and the cafe menu has vegan options marked on - the banana and almond butter toasted sandwich served with melon is fantastic. We went there every day we were in Penang because breakfast was cheaper and nicer there than in the hotel we were staying in.

Pros: Breakfast options are great

Cons: None
