Yummy dinner

My omni (almost vegetarian) husband and I loved this place. Our first time to try it and we were both impressed. They've got an extensive menu and just ask for the English one. No English spoken and they did seem a bit short staffed but I won't complain bc the food was so yum! Will return and would take his parents to try. :-)

Pros: English menu, Good prices

Cons: Didn't have two dishes we asked for, Seemed short staffed

Classic dishes, vegan style

They have an extensive menu of classic Chinese and Taiwanese dishes, veganized. Although the staff don’t speak English, they do have an English menu, so you can get by via gestures and pointing. Given that I was in Taiwan, I was eager to try the infamous stinky tofu, but I had concerns about getting it from street vendors, as some use animal products for flavoring. Lucky for me, Yi Yuan offers this. It’s a great chance for vegans like me to try the dish. I liked the stinky tofu, and I also really enjoyed the mushroom with rice platter that I ordered. The platter had several types of mushrooms mixed with veggies. It also had some veggie ham/pork that I didn’t expect, but was really good—it had a nice smokey, savory flavor. Overall, I had a great experience here. I’d definitely recommend it.

Truly value for money

A clean and cozy Chinese vegetarian restaurant that serves delicious and healthy vegetarian meals with affordable pricing. Some of the the recommended dishes are braised tou fu (Ma Po Dou Fu), steamed dumplings and pan-fried dumplings.
