Cute lunch out! - Edit
Spoiled for choice with both their food and drinks menu. Vast majority of dishes are veggie and can be made vegan on request. Dishes are not only traditionally Mexican but regional Mayan food also e.g. I had papadzules tacos. With a beautiful interior too, I do recommend!

Excellent and all due to the blue corn! - Edit
This is such a wonderful place. The owner and staff are so receptive to the vegan diet. Almost all dishes can be modified for vegan diets. So delicious but it’s all due to the oaxca blue corn tortillas. The sauteed cactus was magnificent

Great meal! - Edit
The restaurant has seating in an open space next to a beautiful garden. The staff were accommodating and modified a vegetarian dish to make it vegan. I ordered the papadzules with nopal cactus and avocado instead of the traditional egg. It was great!

Pretty average - Edit
The Guacamole was the nicest thing we had. I ordered the cauliflower tacos and they were fine. But bland and under cooked. I wouldn’t go back

Ok - Edit
Had the papadzules, but I did not specify vegan the first time around and I received 3 tortillas with hard boiled egg in it. When I reordered I asked for avocado in place of the egg, but I did not realize it was going to be only avocado wrapped in tortillas with pumpkin sauce, although the sauce was delicious the meal was disappointing. The waiter was very nice and apologetic. The atmosphere was very nice.

Mala comida, peor servicio - Edit

Really good food and very professional service - Edit
They are open! That's already a great news for Valladolid as a few vegetarian/vegan places have shut down in November 2020 or earlier. There are a lot of vegetarian choices, the outdoor seating is great, the drinks are great and the Wifi works fine.

lovely atmosphere - Edit
there are so many veg options, and they are all clearly labeled. It is located in a quiet community with a large storefront, open space, and an outdoor dining area surrounded by tropical plants. After the meal, a pot of tea will be served (free-of-charge), we got a very good mint tea that night. By the way, they also have a vegan ice cream!

Delicious Plant Based Food! - Edit
Yerba Buena is a charming restaurant serving healthy meals with lots of vegetarian and vegan options (they do have meat options, so it’s not fully plant based). It’s located in a quiet neighbourhood, right across the street from the park and Convent.
Read moreThe menu featured smoothies, juices, breakfasts, typical Mexican and Yucatan dishes, salads, etc. The vegan options were clearly labeled. Everything is prepared fresh. I visited here three times during my stay in Valladolid and ordered the tamales, Papadzules, El Tropical smoothie and the coconut flan. It was all so delicious, especially the flan, which was heavenly and mouth watering!
There was seating in the open air portion of the restaurant and a few tables in a beautiful outdoor garden area which was surrounded by lots of tropical plants. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and the decor was colourful and cute. The staff were attentive and the service was excellent. The restaurant also had free Wi-Fi which had a strong connection.
Yerba Buena is a great restaurant in Valladolid if you’re looking for healthier vegetarian or vegan food. I will be back!
Pros: Good vegan options , Peaceful atmosphere , Attentive service

Linda experiencia - Edit

Avarage - Edit
We had the impression that this place is not very focused on vegan customers. When we asked the waiter which of the appetizers was vegan, he had to ask to someone else. We had the vegan lasagna which is one of the three vegan main dishes they offer. It was good, but nothing spectacular. The portion was small and the side salad came with any dressing (we had to ask for oil and salt).

Ok! - Edit
Food was ok. Sign on the door said they were closing 16th September- 17th October. Tried to order guacamole and the vegan lasagne but they were out (as well as a few more vegan options) I'm guessing because of the closure. So the food we did order was not bad but not what I was hoping for as the other reviews have raved about! Was quite busy and atmosphere was good! Waitress spoke good English which was helpful!
