Serves meat, vegan options available. Nepalese restaurant with vegan dishes but not clearly marked so ask staff for guidance. Also very willing to make vegan replacements in most non-vegan dishes. Open Tue-Sun 11:00am-3:00pm, 4:30pm-10:00pm. Closed Mon.

Not clearly marked - Edit
The menu is not as clearly marked as the listing description might have you believe. (See my photos of the menu.) But the staff was willing to answer questions. The cauliflower, chili momos, Himalayan curry, and pratha were all tasty. However, there might have been two pieces of tofu in the curry. Since this part of town is very lacking in vegan restaurant options, I'll likely return when I'm in North Beach again.

I recently went to Yarsa Nepalese Cuisine with my beloved. Amazing food, amazing service, and we loved the ambiance. In a word...superb.
Maybe vegan options on the menu. We ordered family style sharing a veg momo soup as an appetizer. These were momo dumplings in a tasty broth that hit the spot.
We got the Almond Cashew Curry with mixed vegetables and tofu. This was very flavorful mix of the nuts mixed with a coconut curry.
We accompanied it with a Pulau rice aka basmati rice with veggies, nuts, and raisins. This was the only dish that was slightly off as could have been warmer.
We paired it with tandoori roti that was piping hot and fresh from the oven along with vegan garlic naan. In retrospect and when we return we will stick to the tandoori roti as we preferred that and we ordered too much roti and naan.
Plenty of tasty food with great service in a pleasant atmosphere. What more could you want.
North Beach is known for it's Italian food yet pay a visit here for a delightful gem is where it's at.
We will be back!

Authentic and delicious - Edit
You can ask for vegan options. They can make the dishes with coconut milk. We have chosen the cashew almond curry, garlic naan, daal soup and rice dish. Our food was very delicious! Highly recommend! Good price-quality ratio!

Flavorful and filling vegan dishes - Edit
I’ll start out by saying the prices for the dishes are great. We got 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, and 2 entrees and the total was under $50 before tip. We shared the pakoras, garlic naan, almond cashew curry, and the vindaloo curry.
Read moreWe double checked made sure that the items could be made vegan and our server was very helpful. We were seated outside so we didn’t see the inside but looking in it looked quite nice.
The dishes were delicious, flavorful, and filling. I would definitely come again.
Pros: Great prices

Surprisingly great vegan food - Edit
I had the Almonds Cashew Curry with tofu (13$) plus some Naan bread (3$) and that tasted really good. Almost everything can be made vegan. They were very friendly, maybe a bit too shy 🤭
Read moreBut the place looks also quite nice, except of the restrooms unfortunately. They are "hidden" somewhere behind the kitchen, so you got to go through their kitchen. Not so nice back there, but in the front its very pretty.
Pros: Most can be made vegan , Great taste, Nice place
Cons: Bad restrooms , Too many items on the menu

We like the food from this place!
Read moreWe loved the Cashew Curry, Veg Chili Momo, Veg Jhol (soup) Momo, and vegan Naan (no butter).
Everything was phenomenal!! Reminded us of some of our favorite places in Nepal. There are several other vegan dishes here we would love to try next time!
