Delicious, affordable Sri Lankan food

Have been wanting to go to Yarl for quite some time already but somehow only managed to do so last week.

We decided to go to the TTDI outlet.

It took me some time to figure out the vegan options that were available. I had written to them on IG DM to ask which items don’t contain eggs or dairy, but no reply from them.

So had to ask the server. He wasn’t sure and said he’ll check. And then he told me a lot of the vegetarian dishes had milk in it. I was pretty sure there wasn’t, so I asked another person and told them coconut milk was ok. Then he said it’s all coconut milk. I hope so!

We added on the appam after that, after another server assured me there’s no egg or dairy if I take the plain appam.
We had:
✅Lunch Vege Set RM12.50 per set x 2
✅Plain Appam RM4.00
Sub-total: 29.00
10% Service Charge: 2.90
6% Tax: 1.74
Total: RM33.65

Vege set comes with rice, 3 veggies of choice, rasam, sambar and a drink (coffee/tea). I asked for hot water.

We really enjoyed the meal! I love Sri Lankan food ❤️❤️❤️

I actually wanted to have the Kothu but they only have it for breakfast and dinner.

I didn’t realise there was the Idiyappam set, if not, I would have gotten that as well. The initial server told me it’s only rice and appam for lunch. But later when I asked another lady she said the Idiyappam set was available too. Well, good reason to go back again. Maybe we’ll check out the Hartamas outlet instead next time.

Parking is a bit difficult on a weekday and we paid RM11+ to park at the nearby enclosed open air carpark as the street parking is all full.

Restaurant is clean and comfortable.
