No vegan soup

NONE OF THE SOUP IS VEGAN!!!!! Do not let anyone working tell you anything different or test order because it says vegetable!
Ordered veggie rolls and edamame.

Pros: At least something in 29

Cons: No vegan ramen

“Closest we have…”

When inquiring about the vegan ramen options I read about here, guy behind the counter said “the closest we have is the yamahana ramen.” I asked what that meant and he said “it’s only got a little bit in it.” Asked what “it” was and he said “the water that we use for the ramen, we only put a little bit of beef in it for flavor.” We said thanks and went to leave and he started saying how there were other things on the menu, but it was hard to tell if he knew what we were asking for by saying vegan

Good Ramen

The vegetarian miso ramen (sans egg) was tasty after a long day in Joshua Tree National Park, and I wolfed down the avocado roll I ordered. However, the omnis with me who ordered fish rolls were really unhappy with their orders. They knew it was a risk ordering sushi in the desert, and that gamble did not pay off!

Pros: Ramen

Cons: Skip the fish

The rolls were ok, just ok nothing special. I won’t try their rolls again. I might try their ramen later

Good veggie ramen

Small Japanese restaurant in a strip mall but worth the stop. It has 3 clearly marked vegetarian ramen bowls on the menu which has a miso based broth which gives it a creaminess. They can be made vegan if you leave out the egg. Beware, if you ask to make it spicy, it will burn your face off. So good. The edamame and seaweed salad is also vegan. Avocado rolls are pretty good. Take-out but has indoor seating to eat there if wanted.
