香苑素食 hawker stall on the second level. Serves fried beehoon, noodles, peanut porridge, mixed vege rice, lontong, mee-siam and kway-chap, and specials on certain days. Vegans need to specify no egg when ordering. Open Mon-Tue 6:30am-1:00pm, Thu-Sun 6:30am-1:00pm.

Stall with various daily special

Tried their bee hoon with dishes, not bad, they do sell daily special as well.

Cheap and satisfying food

Sells cooked items and normal mixed veg rice. Small range of options. Its a good affordable meal. I had mixed beehoon and mian, with long beans, egg and popiah and it only cost $3.20.

Asked around and its seems like the only veg option near macpherson's downtown exit (exit E) until the nearby hawker centre finishes renovation in Jul 2018.

Overall, I would recommend coming here for a cheap, hearty meal. If going down for lunch, I recommend going a little earlier since it closes at 1.00pm

Economical food

Small stall in hawker centre situated above the wet market. Not much variety for rice but has daily specials and longtong is available everyday. Very reasonable price and portions in an old estate. Staff always asks whether taking egg for those choices you made.

Pros: some vegan options

Cons: a little obscure market which may not be convenien
