Not the vegan friendly buffet it used to be - Edit
From its opening, this was the best vegan friendly buffet on The Strip. That’s changed, as now many once vegan options contain dairy or fish sauce. Also, some of the vegan “as is” options share serving tongs with non-vegan dishes. They can still make you a custom pizza or tacos with Impossible, but unless you’re staying here and have the patience for special orders, you’re better off trying all the other vegan options at the Wynn and around The Strip.

Cons: Butter in most veg, Veg served next to meat, Shared serving tongs with meat

Buffet - Edit
The chef was super helpful and took us on a lap around the buffet. Several options were discussed: salads, hummus, veggie sushi rolls, black bean tacos, grilled veggies, and desserts. Most of the items have to be specially made. We initially requested pizza, but made our way through several items, including the clearly marked VEGAN grilled asparagus. It wasn’t until far later into our meal that we were informed it was mislabeled and actually had butter on it. This definitely dampened our overall experience and I felt unable to finish what we had ordered after that, including the ravioli and black bean tacos. Desserts are pretty. Overall, a very pricey meal $75.00/person that we expected to enjoy fully. No compensation was offered for the mistake made on their part. Still, we appreciated the personalized attention, which made our twins feel special and catered to, something vegans don’t always get to experience in a meaningful way. Hopefully next time it’ll be a better experience.

Plenty of options, tasty food - Edit
Had the buffet as our Christmas Dinner while in Vegas this year. Was skeptical about the options - but everything was well labelled and very tasty. I had tacos, caesar salad, potstickers, soup and lots of fresh veg. Of course not as much choice as for non-vegans but I left full and satisfied. Highlight was the 5 different vegan desserts!!

Not worth it - Edit
Overall very disappointing. I wish I read the other reviews on here before going to do the chef tour, which would have pointed out all the vegan options. Without it, the signage is poor and the vegan options are hard to find. Most of the options that I did find were underwhelming or not well cooked (e.g. grilled vegetables that were still somewhat raw). Save the time waiting in line, and your money, and have a better vegan meal elsewhere.

Overpriced for the selection - Edit
They have a couple made to order items for brunch that can be made vegan (omelets with Just Egg, and Pizza with vegan cheese). Otherwise I thought it was overpriced for what they have that is Vegan.
Read moreWe asked for a tour from the chef (based on other reviews) so that was very helpful. The chef also informed us that if we wanted veggies not contaminated with meat that the chefs would make fresh veggies upon request.
Pros: Made to order vegan items, Variety of vegan items, Items that are vegan are clearly labeled *most*
Cons: Price is lame

Vegan Options - Just Ask - Edit
I have been three times. The first time the vegan options were obvious. The second & third times they were not, but if you speak to someone who works there they will make you SO much food. The chef walked around the entire buffet with me and told me about all the vegan options. A vegan truffle mushroom pizza, roasted vegetable plate, “meat” tacos and ravioli were all made for me - and it was all so good.
Read moreThere was also a decent selection of vegan desserts (ex. cakes, mango tapioca, ice cream).

only a few sides - Edit
unless you want to spend a lot of money for sides don’t go. no tofu, no vegan meats, everything has to be veganized since even salads all have dairy, meats and fish.

There used to be more vegan options - Edit
I went to this buffet a year back, and had a great time, as they have many vegan options available. This time around, I requested a chef walk, and the chef had a chagrin look on his face as there weren’t many options at all. I requested a vegan pizza and some impossible tacos, but it’s really disappointing that they took off some of their other previous menu items. Pretty fair taste, just disappointed to see it was a bit lackluster this time around

So, they have a crap ton of vegan options! Breakfast buffet even has tofu scramble. If you are brave enough to as the server that seats you, they will happily get you a chef to give you a tour of the buffet to point out all the vegan friendly items!

Not worth the money - Edit
It was $80 for dinner and I had almost everything they offered vegan, a salad, carrots, broccoli, mushroom pizza, ratatouille, tapioca pudding, and soy ice cream. I had to specially request a vegan version of the carrots, broccoli, and pizza. Everything tasted really good. But it just wasn’t worth the money.

Ask for a Vegan Tour of Buffet - Edit
We really enjoyed our experience. We heard you can ask for a buffet walk through to show what vegan options were available. Not all items are readily available and you have to order or ask. The head chef was able to take amazing care of us and we left full and satisfied!!

For the price you pay it’s not really good value. I had a salad, soup and the vegan just egg scramble. I wouldn’t return. No alternative to dairy butter offered. Even some of the usual vegan items had dairy in. Not great.

No freaking salad bar - Edit
HORRIBLE. I don't k ow how any vegan in their right mind could leave this place a review of more than one star. It's just a crematorium, table after table groaning with corpses, with a vew scraps of non-animal products (bland and insipid), all of which would have fit on a small serving tray. Holy cow, I am 55 years old and never been to a buffet that has NO SALAD BAR. You read that right. If you want a salad, you are going to get a tasteless pre-made thing served up in a little bell jar. You would do better at a place like Fogo de Chao. They know how to build a salad bar. STAY AWAY.

Options available, and good, too! - Edit
The buffet was large and had lots of options that were very clearly labelled. The buffet is very heavily meat-focused, as is to be expected in a Las Vegas buffet. There were actual interesting vegetarian options beyond just side dishes.
Read moreThere was a latke station that made topped latkes as you waited. I had one with beets and goat cheese. It was delicious! Mushroom and truffle pizza was also great. Samosas and aloo gobi were both amazing and spicy.
Tons of desserts, although I only saw 1 labeled as vegan.
Pros: Clearly labeled options , More than just side items for non-meat choices, Great experience and atmosphere
Cons: Expensive , Tons of meat

Ok- very helpful staff - Edit
I guess I expected a little more vegan options since I read this is one of best major hotels for catering to vegans in Vegas. Ask your server if they can let you know what is vegan. The chef will give you a tour as others have said. The chef will tell you what's vegan and what can be made vegan with request. Still, certain things were contaminated. A tofu dish was apparently seasoned with chicken bullion according to the chef. There were a couple dishes specifically labeled vegan: corn chowder and spring rolls.

So good. - Edit
Just had brunch at the Wynn Buffet and it did not disappoint. When you get there make sure you tell them you’re vegan so the chef will give you a rundown of all the vegan options. The matcha tapioca was incredible. There were so many options, we couldn’t try them all, but I highly recommended checking it out.
Read moreEdit: I’ve been back again and again, I think this place is awesome. I’ve read the other reviews and I find that they aren’t thinking about this as an experience. Going to Vegas and doing up a buffet is a Vegas experience. There are zero buffets in my town so just the idea that this exists with vegan options is so cool. You shouldn’t be thinking of this as the best of the best... but as an awesome experience where you can eat delicious food as well. Yes the price point sucks, but again, it is a VEGAS EXPERIENCE... treat it like that. Also: cranberry muffins and tapioca pudding are incredible. This time, they made me my own vegan pizza and fried rice. I also ate sushi. I was so full that I couldn’t eat the vegan chocolate chip cookies or ice cream, but I would have. If you’re vegan and you are looking for a good option with friends... this is it. Quality is great for everyone.
Pros: Tasty vegan food, Matcha tapioca pudding and muffins and dessert, Really pleasant atmosphere
Cons: Need to ask chef to make certain things

Tried it just for the experience - Edit
I went here after reading many mixed reviews about the vegan options. Some made it sound like a vegan heaven while others made it sound mediocre.
Read moreI wanted to try the buffet just for the experience and the novelty.
The Wynn website mentions that during the weekdays breakfast is 7:30-10:30am and lunch is 10:30am-3:30pm. I aimed to get there just before lunch started as it was slightly cheaper ($19.90 for breakfast) but when I arrived I was informed that it’s brunch and the price was $33.50!
After coming so far I decided to just go ahead with it. The chef gave me a walk through and showed me about 10 vegan options however two of the options he showed me upon closer inspection weren’t vegan. The mixed mushrooms clearly had scrambled eggs and the cold tofu dish appeared to have bonito flakes on top.
I enjoyed the corn chowder and the made to order vegan scramble. I also loved that they had vegan desserts (choc chip cookies, mango tapioca pudding, sorbets & soy ice cream) but overall it was pretty expensive for what it was.

not good - Edit
We went on Friday night. Vegan options were very few and they were not good. The soup was ok, but spicy. The sushi was not good, the rice was not cooked well. Ice creams were sorbets, very sugary and there was a vegan, again, overly sweet cookie.
Read moreEverything else was drenched in butter, cheese etc. and when we asked for a vegan option or if it's vegan, the chefs weren't even taking us seriously and we received different answers about the same thing. There were some things on the salad bar, but again, too vinegary or whatever. Not worth it!
Cons: few vegan options, staff not interested, either too spicy, too bland, too acidic, too sweet

Weekday better than weekend buffet - Edit
We went to this buffet during the week and I was shown around by the chef and I was impressed at all of the vegan options or items which were offered to be veganized for me. Dishes available were pancakes with a range of toppings, tofu scramble with choice of toppings, polenta with vegetables, sushi, spring rolls, breakfast potato, vegetables, bagel, bread, porridge, vegan pizza to order, fresh fruit, muffins, cookies, sorbet and a tapioca pudding. I was so impressed (and stuffed!) after our first visit that we went back at the weekend. They charged a higher price at the weekend so I was excited to see new items available but sadly there was a lot less on offer (more meat options taking up what was previously vegan options). Disappointing after what was great the first time but still enjoyed the pancakes and tofu etc.
Read morePros: Chefs very knowledgeable , Serves earth balance on request, Pancakes to order are delicious
Cons: Expensive, Less vegan options on weekends
