Vegan Bratwurst?

After landing at John Wayne airport, I was looking for a late dinner in the Santa Ana area. I had no idea that vegan bratwurst existed but I am glad that I visited this restaurant. I ordered two styles of the vegan bratwurst - The apple and sage, and the Mexican chipotle with grilled onions grilled peppers and grilled jalapeños. Everything was delicious! Who would have thought? It makes a nice change from the Asian vegetarian foods are usually get. Worth a visit.

Great place, can get busy

I love this place! They have four vegan options, clearly labelled. There are two buns but only one is vegan, the traditional grinder (also labelled). The Mexican chipotle sausage is my favourite. I usually stop by here before/after seeing something at The Frida Cinema, or after Art Walk. They are open pretty late, which is perfect, but sometimes on weekends their eating area/bar can be crowded and noisy. Usually for a couple friends we find seating just fine, but if we have a larger groups it’s difficult.

Great Vegan Brat

Went there with my very non-vegan brother, and his family, we loved everything we got. I agree with the other review that I'm not on-board with the non- vegan options but it was nice to be able to find really good food with my family where no one had to make compromises. My brat was spicy and delicious!!! I actually liked the non local beer as I wouldn't have tried any of the ones I got on my own. Totally recommend if eating out!

Pros: Vegan bratwurst , Beer

Cons: weird non vegan options

Vegan and (non-vegan) hot dogs

Pretty cool German bierkeller style place - order hot dogs at the entrance area then head to the back to order beers while the hot dogs are being prepared. Many beers available - but perhaps trying too hard to be European rather than promoting local brews that may be just as good. Some weird non veggie hot dogs that may put some folk off- wild boar? alligator? and veal - which is probably a deal breaker for me given some other options in the area.

Pros: Serves beers, Nice environment

Cons: VEAL
