Neither good or bad - Edit
The vegetarian options are stated with a symbol on the menu. Yes it is overpriced which I can imagine is due to its location and catering mostly to tourists. The food I got (noodles with spring rolls) was good, but not the tastiest either. Also they will charge you VAT and napkins.

Cons: Expensive, Feels more like Vietnamese cuisine for tourists

Bland - Edit
Quite pricey for what it is, disappointing food and an odd smell in the restaurant. However does offer both vegan and vegetarian options

Wouldn't recommend - Edit
5 vegan/vegetarian options.
Read moreOrdered the mushroom rolls, clay pot and rice noodles. None of them tasted anything at all. Medium portion size.
Ordered apricot juice with passion fruit jelly, which contained no jelly, and was made from concentrate.
Although, the restaurant is clean and the staff friendly.
Pros: Clean, fast service.
Cons: Overpriced, no spices on the table.

Alright place to eat - Edit
There are about 6 vegan options. We had the clay pot which was pretty tasty if a little bland and the spring rolls which were delicious.

Meh - Edit
When we got there, we got greeted by a very powerful insecticide smell. It was late in the afternoon and we were very hungry so we decided to stay nevertheless and eat quickly. Food was okay, but we noticed rat droppings as we left, so we won’t go back there for sure.

Vincom Nguyen Chi Thanh branch - Edit
They have about 5 veg dishes. Mixed rice noodles with veg fried spring rolls was delicious! Try not to mistake Wrap & roll and Cuốn n roll, they are different places and Cuốn n roll doesn't have vegetarian menu though you can order fries or roll any avalable veggies up

Okay for a quick fix - Edit
Pretty good if you're looking for something quick, this place is probably perfect for you. I had the vermicelli noodles and the hot pot. I love hot pots, so I'm kind of biased, though this one was a little bland. The vermicelli was good. But again, I would only eat here again if I needed something fast. It's a chain restaurant and the taste of the food is telling of that.

Wrap & Roll - Edit
Newly opened franchisee Wrap and Roll. Tried it out. Had two takeaways fresh noodle rolls 4 pieces filled with some salad, mushrooms and fresh herbs and 5 Samoosas (filled with mushrooms). The bill came to 132.000d ($6). There were ONLY 6 vegan options + they had a vegan hotpot. The menu was just full of 'carni' dishes. Place was busy with tourists. I certainly couldn't dine in this environment.
Read moreAs it's newly opened is clean and opposite Hoan Kiem lake. I let the others who dine here make their own judgement.
I spoke to the manager about being a vegan and not happy spending my money here etc. Didn't get my HC tick.
Pros: Menu is in English with colourfull pictures, Clean interior, upstairs seating
Cons: Not 100% vegan

I've eaten at this particular Wrap & Roll and also at the Saigon location on Hai Bà Trưng. Your review is a disservice to these dining establishments that provide a viable bridge to those curious about vegan/vegetarian cuisine.
Read moreClearly, you have never owned and operated a business in a major tourist area, as I have. A 100% vegan restaurant on the north promenade directly across from Hoan Kiem Lake would never survive. The demographics just wouldn't support the overhead. To give this restaurant 1 of 5 stars largely because it is "Not 100% vegan" is counter-productive and reeks of militant veganism.
Your conversation with the manager about "being a vegan and not happy spending my money here etc." is misguided and the kind of interaction that discredits the greater plant-based eating community. Your words and actions reinforce an image of condescension and intolerance that many hold of vegans/vegetarians.
One of the charms of Hanoi, and what separates it from Saigon and Bangkok, is that its culture has yet to be polluted by the influence of ignorant, self-righteous Westerners. I hope you'll choose to omit Hanoi from future travel plans.
