Good curry! - Edit
Not too many options and the menu was a little confusing, but the yellow curry was tasty and a good sized portion!

Ask for the vegan menu! - Edit
Not easy to find vegetables and vegan food in Seward so this was a nice treat. The food portions are massive, so be careful or you'll be taking a bunch of food home. We got way too much food😄The veggie soup was delicious on a cold rainy summer day. Also tried the veggie fried rice, and ginger veggies. All really good. Freindly staff too.

Delicious Ginger Tofu - Edit
Large vegan menu and the the ginger tofu tasted as delicious as is smelled. Very happy with this in the progressive town of Seward, AK. The price was surprising until we saw the portion sizes. You can share these meals.

Delicious, but a little pricey - Edit
We got the tofu corn cakes, yellow curry, and ginger rice. All were very good. However, I would have liked more ginger in the ginger rice. Also, the food was a little pricey, but at the same time, the portions are large. I would suggest 2 people split one entree.

Lots of vegan options, but not much flavor - Edit
I had the basil with tofu. There was no sauce, but the onions and peppers were lightly sautéed in a slightly flavored oil? Tofu was fried and was soft on the inside. I actually liked the tofu. Fresh basil leaves were the best part. There was a massive amount of white rice. I would go back again, but I’d try a curry or soup as this dish was pretty plain.

Yummy Thai curry - Edit
Delicious yellow curry and corn fritters! The menu is clearly labeled with vegan or vegan optional items but it's printed blue on green and it's VERY hard to read. Staff were knowledgeable about the menu, and apparently there was a completely separate vegan menu I could have looked at, but I knew what I wanted so I didn't look at it. Huge portions. Wish the tofu they used was firmer.

Tasty Food, Slow Service - Edit
The food was delicious, though a bit too salty. The service was super slow, but it was a busy night and they were also super friendly! Prices are a bit high but the portions are huge. Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu, which is always a big plus!

Best food in town - Edit
The prices have gone up and it isquite expensive, but the portions are huge. You may be going home with leftovers. Yellow curry and drunken noodles were made vegan and were great. The tofu corn cakes were interesting. You may have to wait half an hour if you don't have a reservation.

best option in town - Edit
4/31/2017 Thank goodness for Woody's! On a visit to Seward in April, the other dinner restaurants listed on Happy Cow were closed for the season. Non-vegan family were visiting, and were not happy at my need to search for a viable vegan-friendly dinner option. Woody's had ample selection for all of us, and staff were completely knowledgeable about vegan options, though those options had to be explained and were not marked on the menu. I was very happy with the filling tofu-corn cakes (like fritters) and yellow curry. My family said they were happy we ate at Woody's, and all loved their non-veg meals.

Vegan options but overpriced - Edit
There are marked vegan options however the dishes are way overpriced for the what they are. There is nothing special about the dishes but if you’re looking for something to eat in Seward, you will find something here.

Good but way overpriced even for AK - Edit
This place is probably the only game in town for decent and substantial vegan food. Seemed like most dishes could be made vegan by subbing in tofu. Food was quite good but didn't come cheap. We paid $48 plus tax and tip for an order of spring rolls (3), a tom kha soup, and a Thai basil stir-fry, which was very expensive for what they were. Come early for dinner or be ready to wait for a table. Very popular place.

Great vegan options! - Edit
As a strict vegan who was worried about options on my Alaska trip, I am so thankful to have found this place on happycow! I was in Seward with family after going to Kenai Fjords, and luckily everyone was up for Thai food and was willing to try Woody’s after I found it on here. We all loved our food. I got yellow curry and the tofu corn cakes. We all especially loved the tofu corn cakes.

Variety of Options - Edit
They have a couple vegan items listed on the menu, but really most items become vegan by simply choosing tofu as the “protein “. The waiter was helpful in letting me know which items could be easily veganized and the yellow curry with tofu was delicious!

Highly Recommended - Edit
They have a new menu with vegan items clearly marked. Get the tofu corn cakes! Little bites of heaven! : )
Read moreFood is flavorful and perfectly spiced. This place is the real deal. Try the summer rolls with tofu (vegan), any of their numerous tofu curries or the veggie-pineapple fried rice.
Friendly staff. Good hours. Awesome find for such a small town.
