Good and cheap wok - Edit
You can compose your plate for a cheap price. I took udon noodles with tofu and shitake mushrooms (normally, only one you can choose, I took the second as an extra), sate sauce and coriander, veggie mix is already included. It was delicious 😋

It seems very great for take-out. When I had lunch inside I really missed some decoration. The interior was very bland and boring. Something on the walls and a few plants would go a long way.

Very quick service and lovely staff who as soon as they realised my poor French, handed me an English menu! I got rice noodles, Shitake mushrooms with lemon grass sauce. Food was tasty, very convenient and cheap! Filled the gap!

There were several (three?) vegan items on the menu. I took the tofu with coconut sauce and rice noodles, which was very tasty. Fast and friendly service.

Lots of choice for vegans and very friendly staff - only bad thing is they ran out of tofu so only 2/3 of us could have it! Everything well labelled and lots of seating etc. Recommend!

J'étais affamé et Wokbar m'a sauvé, dans cette ville somme-toute pas très amicale pour les véganes.
Read moreMalgré l'aspect un peu pacotille de la boutique, j'étais bien content de pouvoir manger un wok personnalisé avec plein d'options véganes. Le cuistot/serveur était sympathique et semblait avoir l'habitude de servir des véganes.
Le résultat était très bon pour moi : soupe thaï, nouilles de riz, tofu, shitakés, sauce satay et coriandre frais. Je recommande.

I go there pretty often, to eat on site or take-out. Reading the description and the other review, I see maybe the functioning of the restaurant has been misunderstood.
Read moreThere is more than one vegan dish actually, as you can fully personalize your wok content. The menu is there only for suggestion, but the principle of the restaurant is than you chose your type of noodle, your topping and your sauce.
In addition to the vegetables which are included in every woks, there are several vegan toppings available (tofu, shiitake, regular mushrooms) and sauces to chose from (curry, coco-lemongrass). You also have the option to add extra vegetables or nut mix.
To me, it is the most convenient fast-food in Grenoble for vegans and vegetarians, since you can get a real dish (not just a side) and have some choice of topping and sauces. Plus, the ingredients of the sauces are clearly stated on a board near the counter, which is a good thing especially for sneaky ingredients common in asian dishes such as honey or fish sauce.
Moreover, if you like it and go there often, you can take their fidelity card that offer you free items for a certain amount of woks bought.

Eating a late dinner in Grenoble for a vegan is quite challenging, so, having a fast-food place like Wokbar can be a life saver.

The food is prepared in front of you as you order; but, please note that, unfortunately, the same woks are used over and over again.
Wokbar is spacious, but not too cozy I must say.
Service is not rude; but I wouldn't call it friendly either.
You pay when ordering, and take-out is available.
In summary, this would be my ultimate backup place, when you are not able to find vegan food anywhere else.
