Fab by UK standard, above average Berlin standard

A small, DIY facade leads you, rather surprisingly, into a spacious, swish DJ bar/restaurant. Venue was quiet and empty when we visited for midday brunch.

The menu choice was limited, but we were pleased to find 100% vegan so close to the Easy Hotel, so we stayed. The verdict:
*Iced coffee - ok
*Hot chocolate with hazelnut shot - thin with strange aftertaste
*Burritos -delicious, with loadsa avo, fresh, mildly spicy salsa and convincingly textured "cheese"
*Quiche - nice but bland with lots of above mentioned cheese and nicely textured, but minimal rosemary & breadcrumb crust
*Mushroom sandwich/burger - quite tasty, balsamic mushrooms with tomato

Food was nicely presented and staff were friendly, helpful and chatty (in English).

Initially we thought W&W was outstanding compared with UK standards, but since discovering that Berlin is vegan capital of Europe, with AMAZING food, I'm just giving it 3 cows with the caveat that it's probably better suited to evening drinks and snacks than breakfast.

Pros: Good quality food, friendly staff, large swish venue

Cons: limited menu, non-obvious entrance, slightly bland food

BEST EVER!

We've been traveling to about 30 countries and I have to say, I think this place is in the top 10 vegan restaurants in the world for value, vibe and food.

PLEASE don't miss it if you're in Berlin!

It's a 'real' bar with cool furniture and a full drink menu. They offer a fully vegan food menu which I believe changes weekly and is limited to a few of each starters, mains and desserts. It's perfect cause you'll probably want to try them all, they're so tasty! The food rocks!

Go here if you're alone, on a date, or in a big group. Go with vegans or omnivores. Go to drink and snack, or have a quiet lunch. Just go!!!!

Pros: Deliciousness, Fun

Cons: You're not there right now, Music a little weird

Stylish location with vegan food

I went there a week ago for the first time. The food was good. The drink menu is definitely non-vegan - not only milk, also honey and non-vegan drinks such as Martini.

Pros: all vegan food, very stylish, different from anything I know in Berlin

Cons: non-vegan drink menu, was very empty on a Wednesday evening, slight smell of cigarette smoke

Fantastic restaurant and great bar - all in one

The place is very cool. It's hug and cosy at the same time, there's a DJ playing during the evening and the stuff is very friendly. Everyone is very good in English.

The first time I've been there I tried a dessert - it was a raspberry crumble and just great. The second time I had dinner. We tried a burger and a pea soup with some kind of noodles in it (sorry I forgot the name). Everything was very delicious!

I really like the place. It has not the wide selection as the Kopps restaurant which is close by but it is a lot more relaxed and cool. (And also cheaper.) The only disturbing thing could be the music. If you are looking for a place to have quite conversations this is not the right one for you.

Pros: Great food, Nice stuff, Cool atmosphere

Cons: Can be quite noisy

Fantastic

We had a great time at Wind und Wetter. Didn't really know what to expect since there wasn't really any photos of the place online. Since it was previously called VeganPunk we maybe expected a smaller trashed out place. But instead we found a very large restaurant with a bar/lounge kinda feeling. Very tasteful decor and cosy atmosphere. There are many types of tables, so you can decise for yourselves whether you want to sit in a low lounge arrangement, at a long community table with other guests or at a small private table. We chose to sit at a small table with chairs that looked like they came from an old cimena.

The waitress was very friendly and we felt very welcome. The menu consisted of 2 different soups (starters), 2 types of snacks, 3 main courses and a dessert.

We tried 2 starters (mini burgers and seytan sticks with dips). Very tasty and delicious and very nice servings.

The mains were also very good. Sausage and cabbage, and a vegan tuna caserolle. The whole menu is vegan!

The bar offers a large selection of drinks and cocktails. Cocktails are large and cost around 6 euros.

The prices are very fair. Starters at 4.70 and main dishes at around 7 euros. That is quite alright.

We will definitely be back on our next visit to Berlin.

Pros: Friendly staff, Great prices, great atmosphere

Super delicious!

Unfortunately we ate here just the last day of holiday in Berlin.. the prices are really small and the quality of food is great! We'll definitely come back!

I came back twice to Kommerzpunk..and definitely it's worth it! This is probably my favourite vegan place in Berlin! They combine so many tastes and the result is always amazing..the atmosphere is really relaxing, the staff always nice and the prices really reasonable. You must try it, but remember, it's open only for lunch!

Tasty Food - Big Portions!

We came here on a Monday afternoon, and enjoyed the experience. From what we understood, the venue is a popular bar during the evenings, but also serves vegan lunches during the day from 12-4, but there are plans to serve vegan food during the evenings.

When we arrived (around 1:30pm) we were the only people sitting in the place, which felt a bit weird especially because the decor/ambience was fantastic (very trendy bar with chilled/laid-back music playing).

The lunch menu only had 6 options (a chanterelle soup, a salad, two mains - fried mushrooms in a creamy sauce with couscous, and a grilled cheese sandwich, and two desserts - a cherry smoothie, and vegan ice-cream with flake and whipped cream). All were very reasonably priced - but the soup was an absolute bargain for EUR3.50. We ordered all 6 dishes to share between two of us.

The soup and salad were both fantastic, and very large and came with some delicious garlic bread. But they were so big that we were pretty much full by the time it came to the main courses. We only realised once we had ordered that both the soup and salad might be considered dishes that are served as light lunches in themselves, rather than separate courses.

The mushroom main was delicious (though a tiny bit too salty for my liking) and worked very well with the couscous, but unfortunately tasted very similar to the main course. We didn't enjoy the the grilled cheese sandwich, partially because we were already stuffed by the time it came to eat them, and partially because we don't think the cheese worked with the rest of the filling (what seemed to be the a bean paste).

The smoothie and ice cream were both delicious. We also ordered a soya latte macchiato, which was as good as the caffe latte macchiato we had at cafe vux, and better than anything we had tasted in London.

Overall - we were very happy with the experience. The service was great, the food was good and it was very light on the wallet. Next time however we will order a little bit less, and hope that it is a little busier - it really ought to be.

Pros: Great Ambience, Great Value, Excellent Coffee

Watch for Bloom in a new location

Bloom has nothing to do with Vegan Punk, the Bloom project has already finished and the menu now has nothing to do with Lucky Leek. Watch for further developments for Bloom, in a new location.

Pros: Was great

Cons: Now Closed

Not closed - it's called Veganpunk now

The Bloom is closed, yes. But it's called Veganpunk now, and it offers the same great food with the same prices. Absolutely tasty and fair priced. If you like more information in german, look here: http://www.deutschlandistvegan.de/bloom-heist-jetzt-veganpunk-sonst-andert-sich-nix/.

Pros: excellent food, good value, friendly statt

Great quality!

I went there for a lunch with my fianće and we both were amazed at how great the food was. We took some kind of sandwiches and berry dessert, super delicious and great quality.

One of the best food experiences ever.
