My favorite place to get breakfast/brunch

Fully vegetarian restaurant with a very friendly and helpful staff. The only place left offering vegan biscuits and gravy, and it’s DELICIOUS

Nice little spot for breakfast

It’s known as the towns best vegan/vegetarian spot. I saw they had biscuits and gravy which is was super excited about and vegan French toast I also really enjoyed their macaroon and miso caramel latte. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly but the food didn’t hit like I was hoping it would. The biscuits were really dry even with the gravy smothered on them. But I would still try this place again next time.

Pros: Latte was super good, Knowledgeable about dietary requirements , Multiple vegan options

Cons: Biscuits were dry, Walking through the kitchen to get to bathroom

Great Breakfast

Saw all the reviews and that they had vegan french toast and knew I had to try it. It was so good! The portion size of the French toast was great for the price. I was able to take home leftovers. Coffee was also delicious. Great selection of vegan pastries as well. They were busy, but our food didn't take long to come out. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great coffee

Old school deliciousness

Wildflower Cafe and Bakery has that perfect old school vibe -- just classically delicious (mostly) vegan food. It's a welcoming atmosphere with a diverse clientele. At least the day we visited, all of the baked goods were vegan and were superb. We especially enjoyed the coffee cake.

Pros: Great baked goods, Vegan brunch

Great Options

We love Wildflower and always make it a point to stop in when we travel through Arcata. Wish everything was fully vegan, but very grateful that anything can be made vegan.

Pros: Nachos , Breakfast burrito , Coffee cake

Great little place

Vegan pastries (scone, muffin, coffee cake) and some tasty vegan entrees (I had vegan Mac and cheese with broccoli added-adding spinach or tempeh bacon is also an option). Was served with some fresh diced tomatoes and black and white sesame seeds on top. Tasty! My aunt had a bowl and my daughter a wrap-they both said their food was really good. I forgot to take a pic of the Mac and cheese, so the picture shown is just what I had left over & the blueberry lemon scone I ordered for the next day. Very casual place, you order at the counter. Would definitely return.

Best food in Humboldt

Easily my favorite restaurant in the area. All vegetarian. Amazing food. Big portions. Good service. Everything I’ve had here has been great, but the Wicked Thai Peanut StirFry is perfection.

Love this place!!

Wildflower Cafe is a perfect vegetarian spot with lots of vegan options. They can change every dish on the menu to be vegan if requested. Open for breakfast and lunch, it’s a perfect place to grab a bite to eat. I got there vegan mac & cheese and vegan french toast recently and both was delicious. Can’t wait to go again!

Veggie oasis

I had the huevos rancheros (to avoid wheat gluten) which was not like the usual dish with refried beans on the side but rather the eggs and tortillas were smothered with tomato sauce and black beans. I guess this is a northern variation lacking enchilada sauce and refried beans? Can’t complain because the only vegan or vegetarian place for miles and they seem like good folks. Will have to try another menu item next time.

Pros: Veggie oasis in the redwood forest, Funky vibe, Reasonably priced

My favorite place in Arcata

I have been coming here for years, since I used to live in Fortuna in 2008. They have been consistently delicious. Local art and wildflowers decorate the interior, and the staff is friendly. All vegetarian, but almost everything can be made vegan.

Pros: Food, Atmosphere , Staff

Cons: Not 100% vegan

I'm always excited to find a good healthy vegan restaurant! This place did not disappoint:-) the raspberry mocha was Perfection as well as the fruit smoothie. It is a bit pricey but the portion size is generous and the quality is top-notch!

Pros: Variety of food options., Good quality and fantastic tasting food., Friendly service!

Cons: A bit pricey, Took a little while to get our food.

Wildflowers deserves 10 stars

Every time we go, we marvel at the excellent food and welcoming staff. Today we met one of the owners, and it was a pleasure to tell her in person how much we love the food and personable staff.
———-
Everything about this restaurant will please vegans and vegetarians. The restaurant is casual and gorgeous - from the artwork to colors of the walls to the wildflowers on the tables to the Fiestaware dishes - the atmosphere is inviting and beautiful.
The menu is fantastic. It was hard to decide because I would have been happy with coffee and a pastry or a pancake.
We decided to order the Tempah Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich (TLT) and the mock tuna wrap. For the sides, we chose a green salad and chips and hummus. the portions were enormous (as you might expect from a woman-owned restaurant in Humboldt County).
They were out of a few items we wanted to order, and we didn't even think that was a negative. It shows they are a sustainable business that buys fresh ingredients. We came in at 3 and they close at 4, so we did not mind hearing that they were out of a few things.
There are not a lot of restaurants that serve vegans in Humboldt County so Wildflowers really stands out.

Interesting vegan combinations

Everything they have is vegan or can be made vegan. We have been a few times and everything has been good. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was made with macadamia nuts instead of vegan sausage. They also have other interesting substitutions and flavor combinations.

Best dining experience I've had in years

I haven't eaten out at a restaurant since before COVID spread & this was the first time I've been able to get a vegan meal that wasn't just a side dish or veggie burger. The staff was incredibly friendly, the prices were decent, and my family members (neither of whom are vegan or vegetarian) both loved the food. I ordered the french toast & it was basically perfect. My only regret was eating a late breakfast before dining here & not being able to finish the whole plate. This place will definitely be my go-to when it comes to eating out from now on.

Pros: Lots of vegan options/substitutions, Affordable considering the portion sizes, Day-old baked goods are discounted

Cons: Their online menu hasn't been updated, Parking can be difficult
