Excellent food and service! - Edit
They have tons of options for vegans and gluten free. The French toast was delicious and the special was a portobello burger. The side of hummus was yummy with chips.

Best food in Humboldt - Edit
Easily my favorite restaurant in the area. All vegetarian. Amazing food. Big portions. Good service. Everything I’ve had here has been great, but the Wicked Thai Peanut StirFry is perfection.

Love this place!! - Edit
Wildflower Cafe is a perfect vegetarian spot with lots of vegan options. They can change every dish on the menu to be vegan if requested. Open for breakfast and lunch, it’s a perfect place to grab a bite to eat. I got there vegan mac & cheese and vegan french toast recently and both was delicious. Can’t wait to go again!

Veggie oasis - Edit
I had the huevos rancheros (to avoid wheat gluten) which was not like the usual dish with refried beans on the side but rather the eggs and tortillas were smothered with tomato sauce and black beans. I guess this is a northern variation lacking enchilada sauce and refried beans? Can’t complain because the only vegan or vegetarian place for miles and they seem like good folks. Will have to try another menu item next time.

My favorite place in Arcata - Edit
I have been coming here for years, since I used to live in Fortuna in 2008. They have been consistently delicious. Local art and wildflowers decorate the interior, and the staff is friendly. All vegetarian, but almost everything can be made vegan.

I'm always excited to find a good healthy vegan restaurant! This place did not disappoint:-) the raspberry mocha was Perfection as well as the fruit smoothie. It is a bit pricey but the portion size is generous and the quality is top-notch!

Wildflowers deserves 10 stars - Edit
Every time we go, we marvel at the excellent food and welcoming staff. Today we met one of the owners, and it was a pleasure to tell her in person how much we love the food and personable staff.

Everything about this restaurant will please vegans and vegetarians. The restaurant is casual and gorgeous - from the artwork to colors of the walls to the wildflowers on the tables to the Fiestaware dishes - the atmosphere is inviting and beautiful.
The menu is fantastic. It was hard to decide because I would have been happy with coffee and a pastry or a pancake.
We decided to order the Tempah Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich (TLT) and the mock tuna wrap. For the sides, we chose a green salad and chips and hummus. the portions were enormous (as you might expect from a woman-owned restaurant in Humboldt County).
They were out of a few items we wanted to order, and we didn't even think that was a negative. It shows they are a sustainable business that buys fresh ingredients. We came in at 3 and they close at 4, so we did not mind hearing that they were out of a few things.
There are not a lot of restaurants that serve vegans in Humboldt County so Wildflowers really stands out.

Interesting vegan combinations - Edit
Everything they have is vegan or can be made vegan. We have been a few times and everything has been good. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was made with macadamia nuts instead of vegan sausage. They also have other interesting substitutions and flavor combinations.

Best dining experience I've had in years - Edit
I haven't eaten out at a restaurant since before COVID spread & this was the first time I've been able to get a vegan meal that wasn't just a side dish or veggie burger. The staff was incredibly friendly, the prices were decent, and my family members (neither of whom are vegan or vegetarian) both loved the food. I ordered the french toast & it was basically perfect. My only regret was eating a late breakfast before dining here & not being able to finish the whole plate. This place will definitely be my go-to when it comes to eating out from now on.

Everything was sooo delicious. The breakfast burritos was 10/10, the breakfast sandwich “egg muffin” was definitely top tier vegan breakfast sandwiches, and the biscuits and gravy was also delicious. Coffee cake and immunity smoothie also 10/10. All around amazing

Awesome, wholesome vegan food - Edit
So glad we found this amazing plant-based eatery. They do not serve meat here, so the menu is entirely vegetarian. They do serve some egg and cheese items, but their menu proudly proclaims they can make any item vegan. We ordered the fiesta bowl and steamed veggies and rice and they were both wholesome and delicious. They also have house made tahini and hot sauce that are delicious that we purchased to-go.

Excellent food, great variety - Edit
Wildflower had really tasty vegetarian food with a good variety of dishes. They have vegetarian dishes that can all be made vegan on request, in addition to the exclusively vegan items listed in their menu. We had all 3 recommended bowls (dragon, fiesta, spicy peanut), vegan pancakes, vegan French toast, cinnamon coffee cake, spiced apple cider, carrot juice, soy latte and the mocha latte. Each dish was lip smacking delicious and the beverages were the best we’ve had in ages. The ambience is very warm and the staff is super friendly as well. Cannot recommend this place more!
