We sat outside. The staff were amazing. The food is fresh and they have a great menu, and handy shop items. I found my dish lacking in flavour- it all needed seasoning in my opinion, and the sweet potato in the salad wasn’t quite cooked enough, and the kale needed massaging. It was so close, today, but I’ve given 4 stars because I didn’t find it totally delicious, but I do believe on another day it could be (based on other peoples reviews). We will be back.

Great Vegan Cafe! - Edit
We stopped here after visiting Formby beach and loved the place. Everything they sell is completely Vegan friendly, from the cakes, drinks, sandwiches and all the stuff they have on shelves. It’s a cafe and a shop combined, located in a garden centre. Maddie was our server and she couldn’t be more helpful or welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place!

Had a nice lunch, food was tasty and staff really friendly. I had the cream cheese and carrot bagel, really tasty but for the price, it would have been nice to have some garnish.

I was so delighted when I was introduced to this place. A vegan cafe that actually uses lots of vegetables in its dishes! After moving here from Australia, I've been pretty disappointed at the prevailing UK take on vegan food which I've found tends towards fake meat with very few vegetables. Considering all the locally available fresh produce, this flummoxed me. But here, you can find a gorgeous array of freshly prepared vegetables in dishes that have been created with thought and attention to flavour. The hummus is great. The staff are all lovely, and it's a relaxing place to spend time, especially when the fire is going in winter.

Awesome Vegan Cafe...What a Great Find - Edit
Visited after a long walk and what a fabulous place...it's 💯 vegan with loads of vegan products to buy including homemade organic cashew cheeses (bought three) and tons of vegan cakes. Ordered two gluten-free pesto pizza slices with harissa sweet potato soup, a red pepper houmous focaccia sandwich and soup with a coronation chickpea bagel and coffees. The food was fabulous full of flavour and good sized portions.

I had the best BLT sandwich I've ever had, and partner had the Buddha bowl. Both totally lush! We wanted to try all the salads too, and they were happy to give us a small portion of all 3 even though that wasn't an option on the menu
Lots of dessert options but we were too full to indulge this time.
My only complaint is this isn't closer to where I live

We loved this place and would highly recommend it. If you’re in the area and looking for really good food, give Wild Root a try. Lovely staff, really sweet place and really really good food. Their garden centre had just opened and it was Mother’s Day when we visited so it was really busy but we still got a table. There is outdoor seating as well which I’m sure is lovely but we got an indoor table. We had the soup and sandwich which was seriously delicious and the chickpea omelette. All of the food was tasty and if we are in the area again we will definitely be back. Honestly the best soup I think I’ve ever had, I’m going to be thinking about that for a while 🤤 Oh, and they are also a shop with all sorts of vegan food and homemade kombucha 👍

I absolutely love this place. Their own cashew cheese is divine and if you see the smoked carrot lox bagel... order it!!! You will not be disappointed. Veg-packed home cooked dishes, which are so fresh and flavourful. I am not a fan of vegan junk food, so it is very refreshing to have a place like this nearby. There are also 'cheese' and wine nights and other events. Service is super friendly and I always feel really welcome.

Visited again today after their recent revamp. Couldn't get a table as there's now less seating. The decor is less funky than before. Not sure I'll travel out of town to visit as often now there's less chance of getting a table.

It’s difficult to find anything to criticise about Wild Root. It’s a great location, the (all plant-based) food is excellent, the service is really friendly and helpful, and it’s got a lovely garden for when the sun is out. Absolutely worth visiting.

The shop and cafe is lovely and well stocked with lots of goodies, the deli counter had some great options and the menu!!!😍
We had coffees, smoothies, a breakfast and a protein omelette (spinach) which was honestly one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten!
Awesome little place and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re local!

This is a gem that everyone must visit! Lovely environment with quality coffee, huge variety of delicious food to stay in and takeaway, cute farm shop with lots of wild root products to take home and fabulous garden center! The TLT and the carrot lox bagel are life changing!

This is a real find and well worth the detour involved when returning from Liverpool to Cumbria. The food was delicious. We both had the Quiche with salads - one an apple and Melon, the other a Caesar type with avos and chickpeas. A proper cup of Breakfast tea completed the meal.

One of my new favourite places and I’ve only been the once. Fantastic menu plus a kids menu which is great too. Açai bowl was so good! Delicious smoothies, healthy organic food and the shop is packed with organic, local produce. Outdoor seating and a lovely garden centre too. Disabled toilets as well as a baby change toilet, nice big car park and the staff were lovely. Will 100% be coming back here a lot!
