Love It! - Edit
We just returned from a week in Harpswell. I noted this place before we went and was excited to try some of the breads. I had no idea about the scope and size of this place! And packed both times I went.
Read moreI only tried the Abenaki bread because they were sold out of the others. It was Ok. Go early if you want bread choices.
I had the Chickpea of the Sea panini. It was good, but not amazing and fell apart pretty quickly.
But the bakery!! So many vegan options. I had the cream horn twice because I rarely find vegan pastries. Delicious. I have the blueberry pancake cupcake and vegan whoopie pie to try next.
Pros: Vegan pastries , Friendly service , Nice outside dining space and dog friendly
Cons: Breads sell out fast

So many delicious options, sweet and savory, and friendly employees! I had a warm breakfast burrito (tofu and peppers), tasted the corn chowder, and 3 different pastries. All yummy!

Excellent local spot - Edit
I feel spoiled for choice when I come to Wild Oats. There are always plenty of soup, sandwich, and salad options. It is also incredible how many vegan baked goods and cookies they have (and they’re all delicious!)! I love the curried tempeh salad on a sandwich or the eggless egg salad. In their new location they have some fun local Maine products that are interesting to browse. Love coming to Wild Oats!

Favorite sandwich - Edit
They make the best mock chicken salad, fresh veggies and the anadama bread is not to be missed. Vegan gluten free cookies and cupcakes and tons of soups choices. Everything vegan is labeled well. Wish I could give 5 stars

Many Delicious Vegan Options - Edit
Great lunch spot, with many delicious vegan options. My favorite is the Curried Tempeh Salad sandwich on Abenaki bread, and they don’t skimp. You can get it with any veggies, and on any of their long list of breads. I enjoy it as it comes with lettuce, tomato, and carrot slivers. It’s so nice to go to a place with multiple vegan options, clearly marked as vegan, AND a list of ingredients! ❤️ Great, friendly service too!

Love this place. You’re able to build your own sandwiches (lots of vegan options), eat soup, have coffee and what not. There’s also a wide range of vegan desserts. I’d go here every week if I’d live in Brunswick!

Vegan Options Galore! - Edit
So many options! Salads, sandwiches, soups, desserts! Love that this place is local and that they label everything. Whether it is a diet choice or an allergy, they accommodate! I recommend the "Eggless Egg Salad" Sandwich. All of their bread is fresh and labeled so you know which kinds are vegan.

Favorite Maine spot for lunch - Edit
I absolutely LOVE wild oats for lunch. They have two particularly delicious sandwiches with lots of options for vegan bread, spreads, and toppings. The chickenless chicken salad and the eggless egg salad are to DIE for!!! I add lettuce and pickles to each and its always good. I love the sundried tomato bread. Sometimes I go for a vegan soup or a vegan cupcake! Everyone who works there is super nice too.

We love Wild Oats! - Edit
We live in Brunswick and visit weekly! They have several vegan salads in the cold case daily and label which breads are vegan. Favorite Sammy: eggless egg salad with carrots, green apple, and vegan red pepper mayo on vegan tomato bread - yum! They always have more then one vegan soup and they usually have vegan items in the grab and go fridge. Try the vegan samosa potato salad or the vegan Samosa Shepherds pie.
Read moreSadly, their baked goods leave a lot to be desired. Everything baked vegan is also GF and just doesn’t taste great. Pretty crumbly.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Fast and central location , Great staff
Cons: Baked goods aren’t great , Can get SUPER crowded at peak times

Would give 5 stars if I could - Edit
The sandwich I had was the best I had in a long time. They have spreads like mock–chicken, mock–tuna and eggless egg. I tried the eggless egg (tofu) and the woman working behind the counter suggested a sauce and other toppings. I also had a pecan banana muffin and a chocolate chip cupcake, everything was really good.

Good Food, Good Service - Edit
This place has great vegan options for breakfast, lunch and dessert. I had the mock chicken salad and made my own sandwich with the vegan bread options. It was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. Also, the girl at the counter was vegan and very helpful and allowed me to try a couple of the items so I could decide. They also have cupcakes, brownies, muffins and cookies that are vegan. The only drawback was that the sweets are really sweet and a bit too dense for my taste. The brownie had rich fudge, the chocolate chip cupcake had really rich frosting and the cupcake was heavy. Even the blueberry coconut muffin was really sweet. I didn't try the cookies. But besides that I'd go back everyday if I lived closer, because the sandwiches are garret and the people are just as good.

Although most of their options contained dairy or eggs, the vegan cupcake and vegan brownie that I had were both delicious. I would describe the restaurant as vegan-friendly.

Awesome Cafe Bakery - Edit
This adorable bakery gives plenty of choices for vegan and vegetarian choices. We had the perfect breakfast and stocked up on some decadent vegan desserts. The staff were friendly and happy to help find vegan items. It was much larger than I expected, and there was plenty of cozy seating options too. Delicious and I would definitely go there again!

great cafe food - Edit
I have tried vegan sandwiches, salad, soup, and dessert at Wild Oats, and all have been delicious. There have been ample vegan options, including mock tuna (chickpea-based), mock chicken (tempeh), and eggless salad (tofu), along with lots of deli sides and salads. The bread choices are not marked vegan, but staff knew which are vegan. I loved the vegan split pea soup, and the quinoa flour chocolate cake-lette was decadently delicious. The place has been busy each time I visited, but lines moved quickly, food was prepared quickly, and staff were super friendly and helpful.

Best sandwiches! - Edit
Stopped here for lunch on my way from Portland to Bar Harbor. The best vegan chicken salad I have ever had!! They offer vegan chicken and egg salad and I believe they had a curry tempeh salad too, but I can't remember clearly. They have the best bread too, I got by vegan chicken salad on a maple oat bread. So yummy!
Read moreIt is not fully vegan and most of it it regular food, but the vegan options are great! Good food to take on a picnic or if you are near the area.
