Low on vegan options for Whole Foods - Edit
This is a nice Whole Foods in the residential part of Sedona. There is plenty of parking. There weren't as many vegan items as I usually find in a Whole Foods. The bakery section is small and the hot bar did not have a vegan option for breakfast. I was able to get a frozen breakfast sandwich and microwave it in the seating area. They had Coconut Cult vegan yogurt and oatmilk creamer. The staff were very nice and helpful.

At the hot bar - Edit
Surprisingly, there was no tofu at the hot bar. There were a few salads and vegetable/potato samosas. Whole Foods usually has a few middle eastern items (tabouli, hummus, baba ganoush and falafel). These trays were all empty. Perhaps it was bad timing but it shouldn’t have been.

Where’s the Vegan food? - Edit
We made a special trip into Sedona to pick up some vegan food from Whole Foods, and the place was cleaned out. Never mind that it’s season and they should be properly prepared, there was nothing there.

Lunch and groceries - Edit
We cook some of our meals when traveling and this Whole Foods had everything we needed for some simple cooking. They also have some great options for prepared foods. We got sandwiches one day and slices of pizza another. The pizza was good but not hot at all. Check to make sure it hasn't been sitting out too long. Great prices compared to eating at restaurants in the area.

Quick and Easy Vegan Food - Edit
The Smoky TTLA is the perfect sandwich when you’re on the run or need something quick before a trip. It comes with Tempeh, lettuce, tomato, avocado, vegan garlic aioli, and I would recommend adding jalapeños and putting it on the onion roll. SUPER SUPER DELICIOUS! There is also a vegan pizza with meatless meatballs (I haven’t tried that yet).

Buy tasty food here to save money - Edit
Normally Whole Foods is expensive but this is a rich tourist town so Whole Foods feels cheap! Ordered vegan sandwiches twice and they tasted so good. I've shopped at several locations of this chain but somehow the sandwiches here tasted among the best. The deli staff are really kind. The register staff are hit or miss. There's plenty of food and other products here for vegans needing something. Free parking that is plentiful.

Breakfast - Edit
Whole food here had some delicious vegan burritos the "sante fe breakfast burrito" at their hot bar and a plethora of options on the hot bar too; tofu scramble, breakfast potatoes, hashbrowns, cooked spinach, black beans way cheaper than all the other "vegetarian restraunts" in town the burrito was only 4.99 and yes hot bar by the pound but still for what your getting I think best breakfast option in town...at least on the Saturday I was in.

Thank you for existing, Whole Foods - Edit
I thought Sedona, being the land of vortexes and crystals, would have a plethora of veg dining options but I turned out to be mistaken. Enter the Whole Foods Market, which I believe took over a storefront called Natural Frontiers a few years ago.
Read moreAs noted in other reviews, Whole Foods does not have the best deli and salad bar selections, certainly nothing like what I am used to seeing at my local WFM. However, they do have an acceptable number of veg offerings and my kids enjoyed roaming through the cold and hot food bars and filling little containers. We visited the freezer section and stocked up on frozen entrees, and we bought groceries to prepare some of our own dinners, plus sandwiches and snacks for hikes. The produce section was a little disappointing but still adequate.
We were on vacation and I really did NOT want to cook, but the dining options in Sedona were so limited we wound up visiting the WFM about four times in our five days there.
My advice for anyone travelling through Sedona would be to get a room with a kitchen--even something with just a microwave--and keep this Whole Foods in mind.
I actually got the idea to visit Sedona with my family because a cashier in my local WFM told me she had worked in the WFM in Sedona. So even though it is the lmost underwhelming WFM I have been in, if it had not existed our vacation would have been appreciably more miserable. And because I feel so grateful, I am awarding it four stars.
Pros: selection of vegan grocery items, granola/hiking snack bar, late hours
Cons: produce section decent but could be better, deli/buffet could be better, expensive whole foods prices

Great salad bar - Edit
I was not expecting to find a large chain health food store in Sedona! I was glad to have the salad bar because there weren't any other restaurants in town that were really of interest to me. There is both inside and outside seating for eating here and you can get food from the prepared foods counter as well. Both the salad bar and the prepared foods counter had dishes to use for eating on premises, which I really LOVED! I hate disposables. They had a nice selection of veggies and lettuces, as well as rice, beans and cooked grains. They also had quite a selection of vegan dressings, including many oil free options, plus many vinegars, oils, liquid aminos, soy sauce, and even nutritional yeast to sprinkle on top! I was a happy lady. My large salad cost $8 and my husband got an even larger one for $9, a great deal compared to going out! As for the rest of the store, it is small, but they pack it in, it's well stocked.

Wide grocery selection, disappointing deli - Edit
Given the town's rather small population, it was really nice to find a decent-sized health food store. They had a wide selection of groceries, comparable to that of a Whole Foods. The salad bar, though, didn't have much to offer besides the regular greens and add-ins. Same as the deli, just a few options and none of them looked too inviting. That said, we did get the daily special from the café for dinner. Only $7.99 got us a huge plate of sweet coconut veggie curry with tofu/chicken on a bed of brown rice. My tofu was pretty good and I thought it was tasty enough for the price, but my partner said his chicken was dry and tasteless like cardboard. So I would suggest just stocking up on travel supplies here and go eat somewhere else.

What an amazing store! - Edit
This place has everything a vegan could ever want! They have tofu tempeh and Seitan, nondairy yogurts, cream cheeses and sour creams, and a variety of nuts milks, mock-meats and so much more. Their produce is organic and fresh. The stories nicely laid out and very clean. Definitely a place for vegans in town to shop and stock up.

love love love this store! - Edit
Everytime we visit Sedona, it is a must to stop here. The store is just beautiful, vegan baked goods are yummy (try the macaroons!). They have more new products than our whole foods in Tucson does! The store is right next to a great cafe called Ravenheart. Beside them is a place called Pita Fresh that is next on our hit list!

Great Store - Edit
Great store for all your health food needs. You can also pick up some delicious fresh foods in the prepared foods section for a picnic or the road. The juice bar has a good variety of blends and smoothies. We found the build your own hot oatmeal bar which is probably a nice option to start your day. You will find a lot of hard-to-find raw food products from all over the US. We'll be back!
