Okay

I went to this location a lot before the Stonestown location opened. If you are taking Muni, it is an ideal location, but if you are driving, it can be a huge headache. The lot is tiny and the line often backs up onto Ocean Ave. It shares a driveway with the apartment building so there is traffic attempting to get out while cars a trying to get in a very small street.
The store's hot bar options seem to have gone downhill. When I first started going there the selection was good for vegan & vegetarian options. However, the last few times I went there the section wasn't great. Also, they cut the size of the indoor eating area/ coffee bar down to very few tables. The coffee bar hours were pretty inconsistent too.

Great vegan options

I really like this Whole Foods. I personally think they have a lot of good vegan options whether you’re looking in the hot food section and or ordering sandos or just grocery shopping. I love their tempeh fakin’ bacon sandwich.

Pros: Many vegan options

good groceries, okay food

I’ve had great experiences buying vegan groceries, specialty foods, milk, skincare products, etc. They usually have everything I could want or would expect from Whole Foods.
However, for the actual food offered, there usually aren’t many tasty vegan options, and they don’t do the best job marking them clearly. For example, most vegetarian and vegan foods should be marked as such, but they often don’t put the mark on vegetable soups, leading me to read all the ingredients over and over, unsure if I missed chicken broth or cream or something added.
Besides salad, many of their food options have meat or cheese, making it hard to eat a fresh good vegan meal like you can at many restaurants. However, it’s also expensive so it’s probably for the best. Save your money and cook at home!

Pros: Lots of vegan groceries , Options you wouldn’t find elsewhere

Cons: Much less vegan prepared food, Expensive
