Smaller store but has the essentials (+ burrito bar!) - Edit
Much smaller compared to the High Street Ken location so the selection of items is smaller, but they have the essentials and some specialty vegan items that are hard to find elsewhere! Highlight of this location is the burrito bar, they have soya chunks as a vegan protein. Also must get the homemade tortilla chips and guac! Can eat in at the small dining area after checkout or take-away. Easy for a quick and filling lunch/dinner!

A few nice bits but expensive - Edit
There are a few nice bits and pieces in here but the vegan range isn't huge. Would like to see more vegan things, especially some nice sweet food when I nip in for a snack.

Okay.. but not the same as before - Edit
Many years ago, Whole Foods was one of my favourite with so many unique and high quality vegan food and products. Recently, this has changed. Although you can still find many vegan products, it seems like there are more meat options. Prices are quite expensive compared to lower quality over time. Okay in general, but no longer unique, no longer the best for vegans.

Seems more focused on meat and fish these days - Edit
We all know Whole Foods is expensive but hard to resist as a treat when passing by. I've been to the Richmond branch before and been impressed by the variety of vegan options throughout including the ready to eat meals. Today there were only a couple of very small tubs with the rest all containing meat, fish and/or cheese. Also a lot of these were meals that needed to be cooked. The cold salad bar wasn't open at all and we were there at 11.50am. We went downstairs to the ambient section. There is a great choice of items but the smell of the meat and fish counters were so strong we ended up going back upstairs empty-handed. In the end we went up the road to Waitrose to get some lunch!

Great range of vegan products - Edit
Whole Foods is a vegan haven! They not only stock a wide range of grains, dried/canned beans and pulses, nuts and seeds, they also sell a wide variety of meat/dairy substitutes. Whole Foods sell lots of vegan chocolate, cookies, ice cream, doughnuts ... you name it, as well as ready to go sandwiches, dessert pots and salads. There is an expansive salad bar, with a wide variety of veg/beans/seeds etc & hot buffet, featuring dishes like vegan lasagne or vegan Shepard’s pie. There is also a machine which you can make your own nut butter in, not to mention an extensive array of produce, including “exotic” produce that’s difficult to get elsewhere like jackfruit. I thoroughly recommend you visit, but be warned...it’s very expensive, and it’s hard not to get over excited about all of the choice.

Mixed feelings! - Edit
Owned by Amazon, which many know to be ethically awful, and Whole Foods has been exposed as having some woefully cruel suppliers, and refusing to address this. On the other hand I'm sure a lot of their other products are good, and the choice is huge.
