Delicious vegan options - Edit
In the grocery section, they have every vegan option imaginable. The warm food and bakery area has excellent options. Between this one and the Wexford Whole Foods, this one has way more options. I’ve seen several different pizza options. They have plenty of warm food bar options and bakery options. All of which are delicious. They even has vegan sushi with faux crab and tuna! The crab one was spot on. I didn’t try the tuna one though

Great vegetarian & vegan options - Edit
I hear people repeatedly referring to Whole Foods as "Whole Paycheck," but don't understand why. Another local store in Pittsburgh, Giant Eagle Marketplace, consistently has higher prices (and sometimes lower quality) on many items that I regularly purchase, and there's not near as much grumbling about their prices! All food is ridiculously expensive now, so we need to keep our eyes open.

Excellent variety of foods - Edit
I’m use to the Whole Foods in Ohio and what they have to offer but the Pittsburgh location offers regional and local foods and I was able to try a few.

Small store - Edit
Wholefoods Pittsburgh is a small store compared to some of their other locations. They have decent vegan options throughout their store with the baked goods selection being their best in my opinion. I like the bulk section and the hot food bar and salad bar but none of these are currently available.

clean and easy to find things - Edit
whenever i am near a whole foods i always look for things i cannot get in my area. I got some vegan fish sauce, Chinese eggplant and kelp seasoning. The prices here are cheaper as well compared to my local grocery store with a big health food section.

Nice Whole Foods - Edit
Nice Whole Foods located in East Liberty. Interestingly enough, it is one of a handful of Whole Foods that routinely offer prepared vegetarian and vegan foods. If you visit the Burgh and are vegetarian/vegan visit it for a quick lunch. It is accessible by bus or car and there is off street parking available in their lot.

Whole Foods Market - Edit
To echo the reviews below, this location is not the largest or the greatest...but it's the only Whole Foods for hundreds of miles. I had to stop here to get a few vegan items for a meal, so it was convenient. They do still carry the vegan popcorn chicken along with several vegan prepared ready-to-go foods. They also had a vegan tapioca pudding made by a company in Canada...it was horrible, so I wouldn't bother with that vegan novelty.

not the best but not the worst. - Edit
not a very good whole foods store but i've been to worse. The hot food and salad bar needs improvement and since its pittsburgh you cant but wine or beer at the store.

was hoping for a bigger store - Edit
i was living in pittsburgh when this store opened. i was used to the really big whole foods like i'd had when living in california. the store was tiny, workers not super nice, hours not as good as all over WF stores i'd been to... deli was so so and last i was there NO juice bar! (they said there hadn't been room when they built it - it was so small) tiny parking lot too. not for me. i'd go the co op down the street with better products, food and a full juice bar!

Although the co-op does offer some different things than Whole Foods, there /are/ less people in PA than CA so it's only to be assumed that the store will probably be smaller. I would hardly consider this a factor in a review. If it was one of two in the same general area I would agree with you, however, it's the only one within at least a few hours drive. I do agree that the service left something to be desired. However, 2 out of 3 of the other Whole Foods I've been to don't have a juice bar. I wasn't surprised that this one was any different.
