Best Whole Foods I've Been To! - Edit
This WF location stands out when it comes to vegan hot food and bakery items! I walked in yesterday morning to buy a birthday cake and walked out with a cake, a smoothie, a breakfast burrito (complete with vegan eggs and bacon), and a muffin. And mind you, I'm writing this review during the lockdown, so the hot food buffet bars were not even open. If I was really splurging, some other hot food options included pizzas, sandwiches, and burritos. When everything is open, the little brewery also serves Beyond Burgers. As for the whole cakes, there were two vegan options when I was there (cookies & cream, and chocolate with berries). There were also many vegan cake by the slice options in the fridge.

Getting Real in the Parking Lot - Edit
This location is HUGE! The stop signs are awesome, but driving into the parking lot is an ordeal... once you DO make it inside; marvel at all fresh produce! Last time I ate here, I stocked up on vegan essentials I can’t readily find at other places and had a to-go ice cream sandwich from their freezer section! It was divine! A great place to go pre/post a beach day! But yes, bring some equanimity with you to make it past the parking lot if you’re driving in! Watch out for our pedestrian friends!

Plenty of Vegan Options! - Edit
The bakery at this locations offers vegan cake, cupcakes, and donuts. The hot bar offers items like vegan tamales and grilled tofu bowls. There is a whole NON-dairy section that offers all of the well known brands plus lesser known brands that usually must be ordered online. Lots of cheeses and dips. Whole Foods is the only store I can get quality exotic mushrooms like Enoki, Morel, Oyster, and Wood Ear.

In need of new management - Edit
The prepared foods manager has told me to my face he does not care about putting vegan options on the hot bar. Used to be my vegan haven but not anymore.

Finally! - Edit
Exactly what Oxnard needed! Ventura got the two Trader Joe's and something was missing in Oxnard.
Read moreHuge store with big selection as well as a large area of take-away food options. Also possible to dine in and drink beers on location.
