Bio und auch vegane - Edit
Klassischer Bio-Markt. Als Veganer:in findet man hier auf jeden Fall etwas (sowohl bei den Backwaren als auch an der Hot Bar).

Classic organic market. As a vegan, you'll definitely find something here (both in the baked goods and at the hot bar).
You just have to be aware that the franchise belongs to Amazon. How you find it is up to you.

great Whole Foods with heaps of vegan options - Edit
Talk to Strangers--Saul Williams harmony in my head
Read moreExcellent customer service from Lucien, Alexies, and Chris. I love this store. Solid salad and hot bar with heaps of healthy plant forward vegan options. This was my lunch that I enjoyed outside in near perfect weather albeit being on a busy street below a freeway. Reminds me of the George Harrison album All Things Must Pass where he says in a later issue liner notes that the world is getting more concrete and we need to enjoy nature. George was an avid gardener.
I love the diversity of the store and met several folks who work here who hail from Jamaica and Haiti along with born and bred folks from Miami. Of course Whole Foods is more costly than Trader Joe's yet one thing I love about this local is they had 365 brand unsweetened soy milk that was affordable. Unfortunately Trader Joe's didn't have any Soy Milk.
I picked up some local hummus, young kale mix salad, limes, lemons, ginger tea, an organic green bell pepper, tomato, avocados, some dark chocolate, and sunflower seeds in bulk. I felt the bulk section could use some improvement to offer more items. Recommended to stock up on delights.
Pros: heaps of vegan options
Cons: bulk bins could be better

Whole Foods - Edit
Nicer Whole Foods than the one in South Beach but similar amount of vegan offerings… So, it’s not worth the trouble to pop over if you’re staying in South Beach.

A landmine of unlabeled GMOs - Edit
There were vegan options in the salad- and hot foods bars, but most were laced with unlabeled GMOs: soy oil and/or canola oil. For the vegan who avoids GMOs, the pickings were awfully slim: mostly just the organic section of the salad bar, plain rice, and plain steamed vegetables. One night they also had yam halves. Virtually every vegan prepared salad (rice salad, bean salads, etc.) and hot foods option (e.g. samosas) had soy oil and/or canola oil.
Read moreFWIW, a previous review mentioned vegan pizza. I looked at the pizza section and there was not a single vegan pizza. Perhaps they make them on special order?
One thing I would typically like about this store is that it contains a juice and smoothie bar with mostly vegan offerings. However, rather than juice the fruits and vegetables when you order them, they've all been juiced ahead of time, and mixed together in your cup when you order them. This is time-saving for them, but less nutritious for the customer, as oxidation has occurred. These juices are expensive: $10 and up for 16 ounces.
I would go to this Whole Foods if I were staying nearby (such as at the Courtyard Marriott across the street), but would not go out of my way for it.

Best vegan pizza I had! - Edit
Their vegan pizza is soooooooo delicious! I went there with omnivore friends and we shared a big vegan pizza. They said: it's much better than the non-vegan pizza! So true! The supermarket offers a lot of great vegan food, it's a place you want to visit if you are vegan
