So many vegan oprions

This particular location is huge, and offers so much choice. The allergens and ingredients are clearly marked, so you can easily see what will fit your dietary requirements. I've always been spoilt for choice with salad bar and hot bar options, and they even do vegan slices of pizza to go.

Too many options to count

HUGE store. Stopped in for ready-cooked food for a to-go dinner. They have multiple cooked food options, including a grill, an Asian food bar, and multiple bars with salads, cooked vegetables, noodles, and meat. There are so many vegan options, it was hard to choose. I could see this being a favorite of vegans who live in the area for both groceries and pre-made items.

Pros: Numerous choices, Pre-cooked options

Fresh produce

This may have been one of the busiest Whole Foods I’ve been to in a while, perhaps because it’s the only one in Baton Rouge? People seeking healthier choices flock here! It’s crazy!

Expect to find all of your favorite vegan staples and produce items for whatever you need. There are a ton of nondairy items like yogurt, milk, cheese and ice cream. There are so many healthful nuts, dried fruits and fresh produce that are actually fresh! It shows high turnover and frequency of shopping, which is always a plus!

Lots of good prepared food options too like the salad bar and veg sides in their cases. If you aren’t happy with the restaurant offerings in Baton Rouge, go here and you’ll make all your food options and desires into something tasty and nutritious for a little less money than eating out.

Pros: National standards for produce , Vegan all the things

Cons: Butcher shop

Great store, but worried about Amazon acquisition

Whole Foods has long been the standard for organic vegan produce and prepared food. I've shopped there as long as I've lived in BR for their great produce, bill, and mock meat sections, as well as the friendly staff and convivial atmosphere. However, I am concerned with the recent purchase of Whole Foods by Amazon, as I don't really like Amazon's business model if trying to eat the world. So far, I haven't found a store that really fits the niche of Whole Foods, but once I do, I'm probably out.

Pros: great produce, bulk, and mock meat section, wonderful staff

Cons: can be pricey, owned by Jeff Bezos

Love it!

A big Whole Foods store with loads of vegetarian and vegan goodies. I wish we had one of those in The Netherlands! I especially loved the deli part, there is a lot of variety, and it is possible to sit down and eat here along with a nice juice or coffee. I got a custom-made vegan (Daiya cheese) pizza which was absolutely great! Friendly staff, too.

Pros: many vegan options, friendly staff, hot vegan pizza on request

WOW this is a huge Whole Foods

Be careful not to get lost! I even found a fresh made vegan FAT FREE (used applesauce) cookie in the bakery for .79 and it was AMAZING!
