Not Vegan Friendly WF

Unfortunately this Whole Foods is not a very vegan friendly location. Yes you’ll find some vegan cheeses, yogurts, plant based milks, etc., and yes they have the vegan Planty Burger restaurant inside. However on a usual day to day basis they never I mean NEVER have any vegan options on their hot bar, their salad bar is boring to say the least, and their salad section that has pre made dishes if your lucky they may have 2 vegan options and they are always the same. A miso vegan Caesar salad (which is awful) and a spicy cauliflower salad that is sometimes good and sometimes not. They only ever have 1 vegan pizza on their pizza bar they only make 2 versions of it one is good the other not so much. Their deli case is gross because when they do have a couple vegan options in it they ALWAYS stick them next to their gross meat crap. Sometimes they make vegan donuts and croissants but only sometimes. And I’d also like to say their vegan items sell out all the time so hello make more please! I’ve tried to ask about adding things but I just get blown off so clearly they don’t care. It’s a shame I currently live close to this location but I choose to drive all the way to Maryland to visit Roots Market a mostly vegetarian vegan grocery store where there are lots of options. Whole Foods use to be a gold standard for people of all diet persuasions to shop in, but as of late I wouldn’t say that, and sadly I’d give this location no stars if I could. Do better Whole Foods for all your customers not just your meat eaters!

TTLA

I just had the TTLA (tempeh bacon, tomato, lettuce, and avocado) sandwich for the first time, and it was delicious! I have wanted to try it since I saw Tabitha Brown’s review, and I am so glad I did. Wow! I want another one!

Pros: Lots of vegan options and clearly labeled

Large, well run branch of Whole Foods

This branch of Whole Foods is large and roomy. Things are clean and well run here, with a lot of selections such as one expects from a Whole Foods store.

My go to Whole Foods

I wish that the amazon prime 10% off discount was on all items and not only sales items but it’s better than nothing...they sell $20 vegan cakes for the smallest size and always have anything vegan that I need...this grocery store has the hands down best fruit and vegetables...the highest quality so it’s worth it

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Close to my house, Clean and nice environment

Cons: Expensive , Can get crowded sometimes , Parking is dreadful sometimes

Prepared Foods: Great place to grab a quick bite

The salad/food bar always has some great vegan options such as marinated tofu, kale salad, vegan curry chicken, etc. but I normally opt for the vegan BLT - delish! However, lately the sandwiches have been pre-made and thrown in the panini press to heat up, resulting in stale bread & wilted lettuce. Ask to have it made fresh! Get a vegan chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Lots of vegan items to shop for as well, recommend Kite Hill ravioli, Just Egg, Kite Hill dips

Pros: Something for everyone, Quick, Get your food shopping done

Cons: Busy store, can be chaotic , Pre-made sandwiches not always fresh

A Five Star Whole Foods

Easy to access, despite the location. The parking garage is a bit insane on weekends, so I try to stick to weekday visits. The store is HUGE, so product selection is incredible. As usual, the prices are inflated. Their bulk bin section is well stocked and has a large selection.

Pros: Great selection of bulk bin items, Large product selection

Cons: Expensive, Parking garage on weekends is crazy
