Great vegan menu

We stopped for dinner at this charming pub on the way to London, as my partner found it on Happy Cow. It’s close enough to the A21 to be convenient, but far enough away to be pleasantly rural.

Lovely old building with comfortable seating and no unnecessary music, just the pleasant background sounds of people talking which makes for a lovely atmosphere. Friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Very clean toilets.

Separate vegan menu with a nice and varied selection of food including goulash with dumplings and an amazing chocolate brownie (we’ve had many vegan brownies, but this was definitely the best)!

Cons: None.

Separate vegan menu!

We came across this pub by chance when we were driving through the countryside years ago. It soon became a regular destination for us thanks to the lovely homemade food and beautiful setting. I was delighted to see they now have a full vegan menu. It was so nice to eat there again. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable about the vegan options.

Pros: Good variety of dishes, Cosy countryside pub , Fresh homemade food

Impressive vegan menu

There is a dedicated vegan menu with quite a few choices. We had mushroom Wellington with a great creamy sauce and a sweet potato risotto with vegan parmesan, followed by rhubarb custard tart with vegan ice cream and chocolate brownie with soya cream. All delicious and with generous portions. Would definitely come again.

Pros: Range of vegan options. , Plant milks for coffee and tea.

Cons: Coffee tastes like instant - need a proper machine, Why would anyone deep-fry a falafel? 🤭, On the pricey side for pub food.
