Good, but.. - Edit
Better than most for vegan options in the area, but that’s not saying much. Located under the shop, it has no windows or natural light. The town isn’t great for healthy vegan options, this sadly, is probably the best daytime option. Hot food are displayed cold, warmed to serve hot by a server after you take a seat and a number, this has only ever arrived to the table warm, small portion sizes are not good value for money, it’s only a self serve cafe, if you want it hotter, good luck getting someone’s attention if they are busy. The take away options, in the fridges at the take away section by the front door are a better for both variety and value. Table was dirty, sticky last visit, food tasted good, there just wasn’t enough of it and it was cool, not hot. They reheat chilled food on display, but I’ve always had to send it back to be made warmer. If there were good vegan or even vegetarian options elsewhere in town, I wouldn’t use this cafe that thinks it’s a restaurant. Both had indigestion after the last visit, usually that’s cheap oil and not something we get after a plant based meal. Looks good and display is a feast for the eyes, but always have a bit of buyers regret after a visit and feel a bit ripped off. This does not compare to a restaurant that takes vegan options seriously, but if you want a big salad and don’t mind paying plenty for it, you won’t get better choice locally. They offer a good raw selection, including treats. They have a decent selection of teas and cold drinks, they might serve wine, little bottles of it, I can’t remember for sure and certainly didn’t check if it was vegan, sorry.
